BAY MINETTE, AL - The Mobile Summer ID was held on Thursday, May 30th at Coastal Alabama-South CC in Bay Minette, AL. This event was an open event that consisted of prospects from the 2025-2029 classes. These players went through extended pro-style workout that included batting practice using Trackman and Blast Motion, ran the 60-yard dash using Swift Performance, and much more. Pitchers were able to throw in simulated bullpens during the workout and were able to get numbers and metrics off of our Trackman unit, such as pitch velocity, spin rate, horizontal & vertical movement & much more. There were some players who showed up and continued to build off of prior performances, but there were also some new names who jumped onto our radar with a strong showing on Thursday.

Today we wrap our individual positional scouting reports by taking a look at all of the pitchers from the event. 

Blake Blair, PACE HIGH SCHOOL (FL), 2028
Positional Profile: 3B/RHP
Body: 6-2, 185-pounds. Physical stature with strength throughout.
Delivery: Drop and drive type delivery. Really gets down the mound.
Arm Action: RH. Higher 3/4 slot.
FB: T80, 77-79 mph. Mostly straight, able to move in and out over the plate. T1999, 1905 average rpm.
CB: 64-65 mph. 12/6 shape, inconsistent times. T2063, 2011 average rpm.
CH: 69-69 mph. Thrown once, deceptive out of the hand. T1407, 1407 average rpm.

Jordan Elleard, Spanish Fort High School (AL), 2028
Positional Profile: 2B/SS
Body: 5-8, 145-pounds. Longer, leaner frame, can add size/strength as he matures.
Delivery: Smooth, clean delivery
Arm Action: RH. Higher 3/4 slot.
FB: T74, 72-74 mph. Showed some late action to the arm side. Stayed down in the zone. T2047, 1946 average rpm.
CB: 65-65 mph. 11/5 shape, commanded the bottom half of the zone with the pitch. T2136, 2112 average rpm.
SL: 66-73 mph. Side-to-side action, located well to the gloveside. T2333, 2235 average rpm.
CH: 69-69 mph. Gets on the side of it a bit, solid speed differential than the fastball. T1327, 1327 average rpm.

Ben Fandrich, Fairhope (AL), 2027
Positional Profile: OF/RHP
Body: 5-8, 140-pounds. Lean, athletic frame.
Delivery: Compact delivery with easy mechanics.
Arm Action: RH. Shorter arm stroke from a high 3/4 slot.
FB: T77, 74-76 mph. Mostly straight with natural sink. Did show some late arm side action at times. T2285, 2142 average rpm.
CB: 65-66 mph. Late, minimal break. 11/5 shape. T2450, 2374 average rpm.

Brady Godwin, JAY HIGH SCHOOL (FL), 2025
Positional Profile: RHP/OF
Body: 6-4, 205-pounds. Longer frame with long limbs. Athletic, physical frame.
Delivery: Uses the strong lower half well in the delivery.
Arm Action: RH. Longer stroke, higher 3/4 slot.
FB: T88, 86-88 mph. Moves it well in and out in the zone, mostly straight. T2165, 2060 average rpm.
CB: 71-74 mph. Solid 11/5 action, pounded the bottom half of the zone. T2458, 2335 average rpm.
SL: 72-73 mph. Later, sharper action than the breaking ball. T1987, 1959 average rpm.

Gavin Grider, Robertsdale High School (AL), 2027

Body: 6-1, 152-pounds. Proportional strength, plenty of room to add size/strength in the future.
