BAY MINETTE, AL - The Mobile Summer ID was held on Thursday, May 30th at Coastal Alabama-South CC in Bay Minette, AL. This event was an open event that consisted of prospects from the 2025-2029 classes. These players went through extended pro-style workout that included batting practice using Trackman and Blast Motion, ran the 60-yard dash using Swift Performance, and much more. Pitchers were able to throw in simulated bullpens during the workout and were able to get numbers and metrics off of our Trackman unit, such as pitch velocity, spin rate, horizontal & vertical movement & much more. There were some players who showed up and continued to build off of prior performances, but there were also some new names who jumped onto our radar with a strong showing on Thursday.

Today we continue our individual positional scouting reports by taking a look at all of the infielders at the event. Check back tomorrow as we take a look at all of the outfielders from the event.

Blake Blair, PACE HIGH SCHOOL (FL), 2028
Positional Profile: 3B/RHP
Body: 6-2, 185-pounds. Physical stature with strength throughout.
Hit: RHH. Open stance, small leg kick. Mostly pullside approach, keeps the barrel though the hitting zone very well. 61.9 mph bat speed with 4 G’s of rotational acceleration.
Power: 87 max exit velocity, averaged 78.3 mph. 294’ max distance.
Arm: RH. INF - 78.00 mph. Higher 3/4 slot, carry across the infield.
Defense: Solid defensive actions. glove presented early out front. Natural instincts.
Run: 8.61 runner in the 60.

Joel Chandler, Orange Beach MiddleHigh School (AL), 2025
Positional Profile: SS/2B
Body: 5-11, 168.9-pounds. Athletic frame, will continue to fill out physically.
Hit: RHH. Small toe-tap. Balanced, athletic stance. Middle of the field line drives. Short and direct with the barrel. 67.7 mph bat speed with 9 G’s of rotational acceleration.
Power: 88 max exit velocity, averaged 82.2 mph. 322’ max distance.
Arm: RH. INF - 84.00 mph. Higher 3/4 slot.
Defense: Athletic feet, moves well laterally.
Run: 7.15 runner in the 60.

Jordan Elleard, Spanish Fort High School (AL), 2028
Positional Profile: 2B/SS
Body: 5-8, 145-pounds. Longer, leaner frame, can add size/strength as he matures.
Hit: RHH. Leg kick trigger, slightly open with the feet. Stays short and inside contact, uses the back side gap very well. 65.1 mph bat speed with 13 G’s of rotational acceleration.
Power: 79 max exit velocity, averaged 72.4 mph. 293’ max distance.
Arm: RH. INF - 77.00 mph. Long arm stroke, high 3/4 slot.
Defense: Athletic instincts and solid, natural actions with the glove.
Run: 7.63 runner in the 60.

Weston Hoomes, W.S. Neal (AL), 2027
Positional Profile: RHP/3B
Body: 6-0, 150-pounds. Athletic frame, will continue to fill out physically.
Hit: RHH. Taller, narrow stance. Small toe-tap trigger. Middle to backside approach. Consistent line drives with some backspin. 59.8 mph bat speed with 5 G’s of rotational acceleration.
Power: 70 max exit velocity, averaged 64.1 mph. 236’ max distance.
Arm: RH. INF - 77.00 mph. Higher 3/4 slot, ball carried well across the infield.
Defense: Moved well laterally. Glove worked well out front.

Noah Hopkinson, Homeschool (AL) (AL), 2028
Positional Profile: 2B/RHP
Body: 5-8, 150-pounds. Athletic build, can add size/strength in the future.
Hit: RHH. Athletic, balanced stance. Handles the barrel well, looks like a 2-hole hitter. Manipulates the barrel well in the hitting zone with solid contact to all fields. 61.7 mph bat speed with 10 G’s of rotational acceleration.

Lakota Johnson, Deane Bozeman (FL), 2025
Positional Profile: OF/RHP
Body: 5-10, 175-pounds. Athletic, proportional frame. Strength in the lower half.
Hit: RHH. Slightly open, smaller leg kick trigger. Mostly level bat path, middle of the field approach. 74.2 mph bat speed with 20 G’s of rotational acceleration.
Power: 96 max exit velocity, averaged 87.6 mph. 298’ max distance.
Arm: RH. INF - 81.00 mph. OF - 85.00 mph. Shorter arm stroke, high 3/4 slot, carry out of the hand.
Defense: OF-Solid feet working through the ball, composed aggression through the throw. IF- Presents the glove well out front. Solid defensive skills.
Run: 6.82 runner in the 60.

Aiden Jones, Elberta High School (AL), 2028
Positional Profile: SS/2B
Body: 5-2, 105-pounds. Still developing frame. Will add size/strength in the future.
Hit: RHH. Balanced, athletic stance. Small toe-tap on the front side. Flat bat path, consistent line drives back up the middle. Fundamentally sound swing. 55.9 mph bat speed with 16 G’s of rotational acceleration.
Power: 77 max exit velocity, averaged 69.3 mph. 209’ max distance.
Arm: RH. INF - 70.00 mph. Lower 3/4 slot.
Defense: Flashed the glove early, feet worked well.

Jackson Lambert, Spanish Fort High School (AL), 2025
Positional Profile: RHP/1B
Body: 6-1, 220-pounds. Sturdy, large frame. Has strength in the lower half.
Hit: SH. Hands set high in the stance. Toe tap trigger. Tilted bat path with carry to both gaps. Real power to the pullside. 67.9 mph bat speed with 7 G’s of rotational acceleration.

Hit: RHH. Slightly crouched, balanced stance with the feet. Hands set fairly low, mostly pullside with the barrel. Steep barrel plane. 69.9 mph bat speed with 22 G’s of rotational acceleration.

Defense: Instinctive with the feet, natural movements.
