HUNTSVILLE, AL - The Huntsville Preseason ID was held on Thursday, January 4th at Clutch Performance in Huntsville, AL. This event was an open event that consisted of prospects from the 2024-2029 classes. These players went through extended pro-style workout that included batting practice using Trackman and Blast Motion, ran the 30 yard dash using Swift Performance, and much more. Pitchers were able to throw in simulated bullpens during the workout and were able to get numbers and metrics off of our Trackman unit, such as pitch velocity, spin rate, horizontal & vertical movement & much more. There were some players who showed up and continued to build off of prior performances, but there were also some new names who jumped onto our radar with a strong showing on Thursday.

Today we wrap our coverage of the event by takeing a look at all of the pitchers at the event. 

Mason Brewer, Hartselle (AL), 2028
Positional Profile: 3B/RHP
Body: 5-2, 115-pounds. Smaller body, more room to fill out the frame.
Delivery: Compact, clean delivery.
Arm Action: RH. Mid 3/4 slot.
FB: T64, 63-64 mph. Showed occasional arm side action. T1594, 1528 average rpm.
CB: 57-58 mph. Located well down in the zone with 11/5 shape. T1837, 1822 average rpm.
CH: 60-60 mph. Late tumble into RH hitters. Showed late fate. T1321, 1299 average rpm.

Jackson Davis, Virgil Grissom (AL), 2025
Positional Profile: 3B/RHP
Body: 6-1, 190-pounds. Athletic build, proportional throughout.
Delivery: Hybrid start, up tempo and quick delivery.
Arm Action: RH. Quicker arm, short arm. Mid-high 3/4 slot.
FB: T83, 82-83 mph. Arm side action, works in the zone. T2355, 2239 average rpm.
CB: 71-75 mph. Sharp break, tighter spin. Confidence with the offering. T2461, 2244 average rpm.
CH: 71-77 mph. Spotty with command at times, developing pitch. T2453, 2176 average rpm.

Zachary Schenck, James Clemens (AL), 2026
Positional Profile: 3B/RHP
Body: 5-6, 190-pounds. Proportional frame, can continue to clean up the frame and develop.
Delivery: Controlled motion down the mound.
Arm Action: RH. High 3/4 slot.
FB: T69, 66-69 mph. Showed some occasional cut. T1713, 1466 average rpm.
CB: 60-62 mph. Gradual shape, showed late depth. T2063, 1982 average rpm.
CH: 68-68 mph. Thrown with same arm speed and arm action as the fastball. Late tumbling action. T1351, 1351 average rpm.

Joshua Henson, Buckhorn (AL), 2025 Southeastern Louisiana
Positional Profile: SS/RHP
Body: 6-2, 210-pounds. Sturdy, athletic build. Proportional frame with present strength.
Delivery: Effortless, clean delivery. Strong lower half.
Arm Action: RH. High 3/4 slot.
FB: T89, 88-88 mph. Mostly straight with late life through zone. T2307, 2296 average rpm.
CB: 74-76 mph. Best breaking ball, late depth. Difficult to pick up for hitters. T2265, 2230 average rpm.

Delivery: Controlled down the mound, compact delivery.

Delivery: Controlled delivery, easy operation.

CB: 69-71 mph. Sharper and late break, plays down in the zone. Solid feel. T2401, 2311 average rpm.

Body: 5-10, 150-pounds. Long and lean, room for size to be added. Lanky.
Delivery: Uses a lot of body on throws at times, still controls the body.
