Updated & Expanded 2024 Alabama Rankings
September 2, 2021
With the summer of 2021 coming to a close, the PBR Alabama Staff has wrapped up the circuit by going back to updated & expand the 2024 Player Rankings for the state of Alabama. We've been able to get a true & honest look at most of these prospects this summer, whether it be at tournaments at LakePoint Sports or in a showcase setting. This class already features five commitments to powerhouse SEC programs at such a young age, which speaks to the talent scattered up and down this list.
It's going to be interesting to see where all of these players end up, as many of them still have plenty of maturing to come heading into their sophomore seasons of high school baseball. Let's take a look at how this class stacks up after the summer of 2021.
SPECIAL ARM AT THE TOP
Reclaiming the top spot, LHP Jackson Sanders (Valley, 2024) showed no reason for change after leading the staff for the Rams last spring & carrying over that same success into the summer. The Auburn recruit is a special arm that has been ranked at either the No. 1 or No. 2 spot nationally in the last two updates. Pitching from a true 3/4 slot, Sanders was up to 91 mph at the National Program Invitational at LakePoint Sports this summer with a loose, whippy arm. He's a projectable & athletic 6-2, 170-pounds with elite competitiveness & good command for a shorter slider in the low-70's. He's got exciting upside with more velocity to come, and continues to separate himself from most arms in the class.
