Scouting Report

1/18/20

The ‘21 grad can just flat play. He was the fastest H-1B (3.95) at the event and was also 92 mph exit velocity off the bat. Very active feet on the infield and shows very nice lateral range and an accurate arm across the diamond. The offensive approach from the left solid is big time. Does a phenomenal job generating pop off the barrel by utilizing his lower half very well. Open stance with the feet and a leg kick approach allows for major juice off the barrel. Shows some big tilt in the swing path and big time pop to the pull side. Love the rhythm in the swing and the finish through contact.

This ‘21 grad is just a competitor all over the field, including the mound. He threw from several different arm angles and did not let hitters get comfortable in the box, throwing several different pitches at any time in the count. The breaking ball showed tight spin at 67-69 mph and he did a very nice job creating movement on his FB that was up to 76 mph. The delivery was very athletic. Narrow, open stance at the plate from the left side with some definite tilt in the swing path and a pull side approach. Uses a leg kick approach to gather some power in the swing. Hard nosed player in the dirt that is fundamentally solid in all aspects and shows a quick transfer from catch to throw. The glove action is solid. Again, this guy is a competitor that simply gets after it on the field.

LOVE Little’s game at this event. At only 5’10 140 lbs., he is a gritty, hard-nosed player that his nice upside. He knows his game and has an advanced feel for the game. Starts with an open stance and uses a big leg kick to get back to square. He looked to be pull happy during BP, but stuck a ball to the LCF gap during gameplay that was run down. 87 mph exit velo. Smooth actions defensively as SS during the workout. Made most of the throws. Ran a 7.04 60. On the mound, he primarily sat 76-77 for most of his outing while hitting 78 a few times. Low-to-mid ¾ arm slot. Likes to compete as he attacked hitters. Flashed a knuckleball with movement that kept hitters off-balanced. Interesting follow.
