OXFORD, AL - The Top Prospect Games: Underclass was held on Wednesday, June 22nd at Choccolocco in Oxford, AL. This event consisted of prospects from the 2024 through 2026 classes. These players went through a pro-style workout and took batting practice using Trackman to record hitting metrics, followed by gameplay. Pitchers threw in gameplay and were able to get numbers and metrics off of our Trackman unit, such as pitch velocity, spin rate, horizontal & vertical movement & much more. There were some players who showed up and continued to build off of prior performances, but there were also some new names who jumped onto our radar with a strong showing on Wednesday.

Wrapping up our post-event coverage for this event, we take a look at each pitcher that attended last week's event. 

Steven Cavaco, Huntsville (AL), 2025
Positional Profile: 1B/LHP
Body: 5-11, 155-pounds. Evenly distributed strength.
Delivery: Controlled tall and fall delivery, strong balance point, high front side, front toe lands closed.
Arm Action: LH. Short, loose arm action, mid 3/4 slot.
FB: T78.7, 75.2-77.7 mph. Commanded well to the gloveside with occasional cut.  T2212, 2133 average rpm.
CB: 62.0-65.7 mph. Really tight spin, showing late 12/6 action.  T2130, 2095 average rpm.
CH: 70.2-71.8 mph. Late arm side movement showing quality deception out of the hand.  T1785, 1760 average rpm.

Brodie Johnson, Westbrook Christian (AL), 2026
Positional Profile: SS/RHP
Body: 5-9, 145-pounds. Athletic, proportional frame.
Delivery: Athletic delivery with easy effort, high point of balance, level shoulders, lands closed.
Arm Action: RH. Short, loose arm action, mid 3/4 slot.
FB: T78.4, 75.8-77.8 mph. Clean out of the hand with 2-seam action.  T2149, 1876 average rpm.
CB: 64.3-66.5 mph. Quality depth, showing late 11/5 action.  T2295, 2132 average rpm.
CH: 66.1-69.9 mph. Arm side movement with some sink. T1726, 1622 average rpm.

Zane Rogers, Orange Beach (AL), 2025
Positional Profile: OF/RHP
Body: 5-7, 145-pounds. Well proportioned, athletic frame.
Delivery: Compact delivery with smooth rhythm, shoulders slightly close off.
Arm Action: RH. Short arm path from a high 3/4 slot.
FB: T77.5, 75.3-77.0 mph. Commanded it well down in the zone with occasional cut.  T2200, 2113 average rpm.
CB: 65.2-65.7 mph. Sharp 12/6 break, maintains arm speed. T2507, 2431 average rpm.

Coen Lambeth, Baldwin County (AL), 2026
Positional Profile: RHP/3B
Body: 6-2, 185-pounds. Evenly distributed strength throughout.
Delivery: Tall and fall delivery, strong balance point, high front side, front toe lands closed
Arm Action: RH. Longer arm action from a mid 3/4 slot.
FB: T76.1, 74.0-75.6 mph. Showed some late arm side action and was able to get S/M up in the zone.  T2169, 1999 average rpm.
CB: 66.2 mph. 11/5 breaker, around the zone command.

Brayley Smith, Pell City (AL), 2024
Positional Profile: RHP/OF Impressive two-way potential.
Body: 6-0, 160-pounds. Lean frame with room for added strength.
Delivery: Easy delivery, slow, smooth tempo, high leg kick, lands slightly closed, balanced finish.
Arm Action: RH. Quick and easy arm path, showing a mid 3/4 slot.
FB: T84.8, 83.1-84.7 mph. Really ate RH hitters up, showing serious arm side action.  T2437, 2359 average rpm.
CB:  Very solid offering, flashing late 11/5 action.
SL: 70.1-71.6 mph. Power breaking ball with sharp, late action.  T2509, 2422 average rpm.
CH: Late sinking action, maintains arm speed. T1638, 1638 average rpm.

Cole Dean, Bayshore Christian (AL), 2025
Positional Profile: OF/LHP.
Body: 5-10, 180-pounds. Broad shoulders, strong lower-half.
Delivery: Uptempo tall and fall delivery with some rhythm, long stride, level shoulders.
Arm Action: LH. Short arm action from a mid 3/4 slot.
FB: T76.5, 75.1-76.5 mph. Showed late arm side run. T2295, 2081 average rpm.
CB: 62.6-65.8 mph. Gradual 11/5 break, flashed 12/6 at times. T1984, 1759 average rpm.

James Tapley, Oxford (AL), 2025
Positional Profile: 3B/RHP
Body: 5-10, 188-pounds. Evenly distributed strength with a proportional frame.
Delivery: Drop and drive delivery with easy effort, shoulders remain level, lands closed.
Arm Action: RH. Short arm action, high 3/4 slot.
FB: T83.6, 80.7-83.0 mph. Solid feel for the zone, flashing late sink on the pitch.  T2069, 1855 average rpm.
CB: 67.6-71.0 mph. 12/6 breaker, flashed depth, down in the zone command. T2035, 1932 average rpm.

Logan Fitzgerald, Gardendale (AL), 2024
Positional Profile: LHP
Body: 6-3, 180-pounds. Lean, projectable frame.
Delivery: Tall and fall delivery with some rhythm, high point of balance, shoulders remain level, works directionally with home.
Arm Action: LH. Quick arm action from a mid 3/4 slot.
FB: T82.2, 80.8-81.9 mph. Showed solid arm side action with late sink.  T1960, 1839 average rpm.
CB: 68.5-70.4 mph. Gradual 2/8 action, well-shaped.  T1995, 1885 average rpm.
CH: 68.8-69.6 mph. Commanded the pitch well, down in the zone. Showed confidence in the pitch. T1804, 1310 average rpm.

Davis Ford, Opelika (AL), 2025
Positional Profile: LHP/OF
Body: 6-0, 130-pounds. Lean, projectable frame.
Delivery: Tall and fall delivery with some rhythm, shoulders get uphill and close, lands in line with home. Creates deception in the delivery.
Arm Action: LH. Long, whippy, loose arm action from a mid 3/4 slot.
FB: T77, 74.1-76.2 mph. Showed big-time arm side action with the ability to pound LH hitters in.  T2193, 1985 average rpm.
SL: 63.4-65.1 mph. Well-shaped 1/7 action, used as a S/M offering.  T2501, 2265 average rpm.
CH: Late depth and tunneled well off of the fastball.  T1632, 1632 average rpm. 

Hunter Morton, Auburn (AL), 2025
Positional Profile: RHP/1B
Body: 6-3, 195-pounds. Well proportined with strength throughout.
Delivery: Deliberate drop and drive delivery, high point of balance, lands open with an athletic finish.
Arm Action: RH. Long, loose arm action, high 3/4 slot.
FB: T81.6, 79.0-81.2 mph. Showed quality sink on the pitch while going "in" on RH hitters.  T2108, 2019 average rpm.
CB: 67.5-67.9 mph. Solid 11/5 from the same arm slot/arm speed as the fastball.  T2475, 2473 average rpm.

Tre Bryant, Orange Beach (AL), 2025
Positional Profile: 3B/RHP Interesting two-way follow.
Body: 6-0, 190-pounds. Evenly distributed strength with a proportional frame.
Delivery: Uptempo tall and fall delivery with some effort, shoulder stay level, lands squared to home, athletic finish
Arm Action: RH. Short arm path from a mid 3/4 slot.
FB: T84, 81.7-83.6 mph. The ball seems to jump out of the hand, missed a ton of barrels- "heavy" fastball.  T2167, 2008 average rpm.
CB:  mph. Late 11/5 action, showing some depth late. T1710, 1710 average rpm.
