DAPHNE, AL - The South Alabama Games & Mobile Rising Stars ID were held on Tuesday, July 18th at Bayside Academy Sports Complex in Daphne, AL. These events consisted of some of the top prospects from the 2024-2028 classes. These players went through a pro-style workout and took batting practice using Trackman and Blast Motion to record hitting metrics. Pitchers in the South Alabama Games were able to throw in simulated outings facing hitters during gameplay and were able to get numbers and metrics off of our Trackman unit, such as pitch velocity, spin rate, horizontal & vertical movement & much more. There were some players who showed up and continued to build off of prior performances, but there were also some new names who jumped onto our radar with a strong showing on Tuesday.

Braxton Atchison, Gulf Shores (AL), 2027
Positional Profile: 2B/RHP
Body: 5-5, 120-pounds. Lean frame, can add size/strength.
Hit: RHH. Athletic, balanced stance.  Mostly flat bat path, Inside-out middle to backside approach.  60.4 mph bat speed with 8 G’s of rotational acceleration.
Power: 78 max exit velocity, averaged 71.7 mph. 232’ max distance.
Arm: RH. INF - 67.00 mph. Shorter arm action, mid 3/4 slot.
Defense: Moves well both ways. Solid glove work out front.

Body: 6-1, 195-pounds. Strength throughout, physical build.
Hit: RHH. Slightly open, balanced stance.  Middle of the field approach with some juice to the backside.  68.5 mph bat speed with 5 G’s of rotational acceleration.
Power: 87 max exit velocity, averaged 75.3 mph. 296’ max distance.
Arm: RH. INF - 80.00 mph. High 3/4 slot.
Defense: Plays low to the ground, fundamental skills.
Run: 7.65 runner in the 60.

Easton Cook, Saraland (AL), 2028
Positional Profile: SS/2B
Body: 5-7, 150-pounds. Compact build, present strength.
Hit: LHH. Tall, narrow stance. Hands set high.  Mostly pull side approach with some tilt in the bat path. Creates some backspin.  57.3 mph bat speed with 6 G’s of rotational acceleration.
Power: 76 max exit velocity, averaged 68.2 mph. 221’ max distance.
Arm: RH. INF - 72.00 mph. Short arm action, mid 3/4 slot.
Defense: Works well through the ball. Natural actions to the gloveside.

Parker Cranmore, Daphne (AL), 2027
Positional Profile: SS/3B
Body: 5-10, 165-pounds. Compact, athletic frame.
Hit: RHH. Balanced, athletic stance.  Mostly middle of the field approach with consistent line drives to the middle of the field.  61.5 mph bat speed with 11 G’s of rotational acceleration.
Power: 83 max exit velocity, averaged 80.1 mph. 245’ max distance.
Arm: RH. INF - 78.00 mph. Quick arm, high 3/4 action. Accurate throws.
Defense: Moves well laterally, solid glove presentation.

Timothy Will Fitzhugh, Bayside Academy  (AL), 2027
Positional Profile: RHP/1B
Body: 5-11, 175-pounds. Proportional build, high waisted.
Hit: RHH. Wider, athletic stance with the feet.  Mostly pull side approach, showed some tilt in the bat path. Stays through contact well.  62.9 mph bat speed with 8 G’s of rotational acceleration.
Power: 84 max exit velocity, averaged 66.6 mph. 246’ max distance.
Arm: RH. INF - 72.00 mph. Long arm action from an over-the-top slot.
Defense: Presents the glove well out front, natural actions coming off the bag.

Brock Garrett, Chelsea  (AL), 2026
Positional Profile: RHP/1B
Body: 6-0, 160-pounds. Compact frame, can easily add size/strength.
Hit: RHH. Feet set wider in the stance.  Showed a mostly pull side approach with some carry to the gap. Tilted bat path.  64.9 mph bat speed with 21 G’s of rotational acceleration.
Power: 86 max exit velocity, averaged 75 mph. 312’ max distance.
Arm: RH. INF - 78.00 mph. Shorter arm action, lower 3/4 slot.
Defense: Fluid footwork around the bag. Moves well around the bag.

John Harris, Spanish Fort (AL), 2027
Positional Profile: RHP/3B
Body: 5-7, 128-pounds. Lean frame, can add size/strength.
Hit: RHH. Slight crouch, balanced with the feet.  Mostly middle of the field approach. Slight tilt in the bat path.  53.9 mph bat speed with 4 G’s of rotational acceleration.
Power: 72 max exit velocity, averaged 61.6 mph. 212’ max distance.
Arm: RH. INF - 67.00 mph. High 3/4 slot, showed some carry out of the hand.
Defense: Feet work well leading to the ball. Fluid with the feet.

Danny Lumpkin, Bayside Academy (AL), 2028
Positional Profile: RHP/1B
Body: 6-3, 190-pounds. Long frame, high waisted. Can easily add size.
Hit: RHH. Balanced, narrow stance.  Solid bat speed. Mostly middle of the field approach with a mostly line drive approach.  61.4 mph bat speed with 8 G’s of rotational acceleration.
Power: 84 max exit velocity, averaged 75.7 mph. 257’ max distance.
Arm: RH. INF - 75.00 mph. Low 3/4 slot.
Defense: Solid actions with the glove. Moves well to both sides.

Body: 6-0, 160-pounds. Proportional build, athletic.
Hit: RHH. Wider stance, hands set high.  Creates torque in the lower half with carry to the backside gap. Nice extension through contact.  61.1 mph bat speed with 18 G’s of rotational acceleration.
Power: 80 max exit velocity, averaged 74.1 mph. 287’ max distance.
Arm: RH. INF - 80.00 mph. Long arm action, high 3/4.
Defense: Really solid with the glove. Hands and feet work well together.

Body: 5-11, 230-pounds. Compact frame with lower half  strength.
Hit: RHH. Narrow, open stance. Leg kick trigger.  Definite uphill path with the barrel. Showed solid carry to the pull side gap. 66.9 mph bat speed with 8 G’s of rotational acceleration.

Body: 5-11, 185-pounds. Physical build with lower half strength.
Hit: RHH. Balanced feet in the box, small toe tap.  Definite uphill path with the barrel with solid juice to the pull side. Stays in his legs very well.  72.6 mph bat speed with 22 G’s of rotational acceleration.
Power: 95 max exit velocity, averaged 87.9 mph. 345’ max distance.
Arm: RH. INF - 78.00 mph. High 3/4 slot, short arm stroke.
Defense: Glove works well out front, moved well to the gloveside.
