Our Preseason All State events are quickly approaching (January 16 and January 23). This event has grown into a heavily-attended event, so this year we will have two different events with one being in the northern half of the state and the other to be held in the southern part of the state.

6-foot-2, 170-pound athletic frame. Above average during batting practice, the right-handed hitter had an exit velocity of 95 mph. Starts in a tall quiet stance with a compact load, then uses a controlled stride. Bat speed is explosive, exhibits upward swing plane and good extension on his finish. In the round he found multiple barrels with tons of loud contact. Gap to gap approach. Projectable while in the infield, recorded position velocities up to 84 mph; showed soft hands, a quick exchange, and consistent feet. Laterally, movements were athletic and fielded the ball out front. Showed an-over-the-top slot and a loose arm action. Recorded a 60 time of 7.29 at the event. Advanced on the mound, showed quick arm speed with a very quick arm action and an over-the-top arm angle. Slow-tempo type pitcher and shows easy effort. Showed strong balance point. Sat with his fastball at 80-82 mph and topped out at 83 mph; had sinking action and arm side control. Showed plus action and command around the zone on his 11/5 curveball (69-70). Showed fading action and control low in the zone on his changeup (74-75). Sophomore that has definite two way potential now and in the future.
6-foot, 160-pound athletic frame. During batting practice, Hunters best exit velocity was 83 mph. Began in an athletic stance with a smooth load, then used a controlled stride just before his swing. Has above average bat speed. In the round he found multiple barrels with tons of loud contact. Up the middle approach. Smooth while in the infield, recorded position velocities up to 79 mph. Showed consistent accuracy. During the event, ran the 60-yard dash in 7.57. Fluid on the mound, has a ¾ angle. Used some effort in his delivery. Threw his fastball 80-81 mph with a max of 81 mph. Curveball (71-72 mph), changeup (75-76 mph).
