MILLBROOK, AL - The All-State Open was held on Tuesday, June 28th at Stanhope Elmore High School in Millbrook, AL. This event was an open event that consisted of prospects from the 2023 and 2026 classes. These players went through a pro-style workout and took batting practice using Trackman and Blast Motion to record hitting metrics. Pitchers were able to throw in simulated bullpens and were able to get numbers and metrics off of our Trackman unit, such as pitch velocity, spin rate, horizontal & vertical movement & much more. There were some players who showed up and continued to build off of prior performances, but there were also some new names who jumped onto our radar with a strong showing on Tuesday.

Continuing our post-event coverage for this event, we take a look at each positional player that attended this week's event. Please continue to check back over the next week, as we will release individual scouting reports on each pitcher present at the event. 

Gresham Baker, Bob Jones (AL), 2024
Positional Profile: SS/2B
Body: 5-11, 155-pounds. Lean build, well-proportioned frame.
Hit: RHH. Quiet in the box, balanced setup, smooth load, tempoed toe-tap trigger. Level path through contact producing hard-hit line drives.
Power: 87.1 max exit velocity, averaged 78.7 mph. 284’ max distance.
Arm: RH.  INF - 76 mph.  Shorter, high 3/4 slot.
Defense: Fields everything out front while showing clean footwork and plenty of lateral range both ways.
Run: 6.79 runner in the 60. Fastest 60 at the event.

Wyatt Baldwin, Hazel Green (AL), 2023
Positional Profile: 2B/RHP
Body: 5-11, 162-pounds. Thin frame. Plenty of room for continued physical development.
Hit: RHH. Starts in an upright/open setup, short stride. Short, uphill path to contact, line drive approach.
Power: 89.7 max exit velocity, averaged 72 mph. 221’ max distance.
Arm: RH.  INF - 83 mph.  High 3/4 slot with solid accuracy across the infield.
Defense: Plays fairly low to the ground while showing nice athleticism on balls in front of him.
Run: 6.88 runner in the 60. Athletic runner.

Chapman Blevins, Spain Park (AL), 2024
Positional Profile: SS/OF
Body: 6-1, 164-pounds. Tall, lean build. Projectable frame.
Hit: RHH. Leg-kick timing trigger, hangs foot into a long stride, fluid pre-pitch movements. Quick barrel with a clean, flat path, some hard contact to all fields.
Power: 91.8 max exit velocity, averaged 81 mph. 347’ max distance.
Arm: RH.  INF - 77 mph.  Short/loose over-the-top slot.
Defense: Soft hands, fields everything out front and moves well side-to-side.
Run: 6.89 runner in the 60. Athletic runner.

Mack Boswell, Stanhope Elmore (AL), 2025
Positional Profile: C
Body: 5-5, 150-pounds. Short, compact frame. Rounded shoulders.
Hit: RHH. Balanced, athletic setup with short/simple stride. Repeatable swing with slightly uphill plane, line drive approach
Power: 77.8 max exit velocity, averaged 74.5 mph. 239’ max distance.
Arm: RH. C - 63 mph.   Over-the-top arm slot with developing arm strength.
Defense: 2.28- 2.46 pop times. Developing transfer on throws to the bag and a solid, quiet receiver of pitches.
Run: 8.22 runner in the 60.

Jack Bryson, Marbury (AL), 2023
Positional Profile: SS/2B Solid 2-way showing at the event.
Body: 5-10, 155-pounds. Athletic, lean frame.
Hit: RHH. Starts in a slightly open setup, fluid rhythm in pre-pitch, leg lift timing trigger into a short stride Clean, short path through the zone with some gap-to-gap strength
Power: 84.7 max exit velocity, averaged 77 mph. 294’ max distance.
Arm: RH.  INF - 87 mph.  Over-the-top slot showing plenty of arm strength.
Defense: Solid, steady hands and plays low to the ground while fielding everything out front.
Run: 7.08 runner in the 60.

Ian Cartwright, Alexandria (AL), 2024
Positional Profile: OF/3B
Body: 6-0, 170-pounds. Solid, durable frame.
Hit: RHH. Balanced setup with a quick leg kick Upward path through zone producing gap-to-gap pop.
Power: 93.6 max exit velocity, averaged 86.9 mph. 332’ max distance.
Arm: RH.  INF - 81 mph. OF - 83 mph. IF- Clean, over-the-top slot with carry. OF- ball comes out of the hand easy with nice carry and accuracy.
Defense: IF- Solid glove presentation out in front while showing nice range to both sides. OF- Athletic defender with natural actions. Works through the ball well and moves well laterally.
Run: 6.98 runner in the 60. Athletic runner.

Thomas Clay, Mountain Brook (AL), 2025
Positional Profile: C/2B
Body: 5-9, 155-pounds. Plenty of room for continued growth.
Hit: RHH. Quiet lower half with minimal load. Level path through contact producing line drives.
Power: 79.1 max exit velocity, averaged 62.9 mph. 204’ max distance.
Arm: RH. C - 63 mph.   Shorter, over-the-top arm action
Defense: 2.52- 2.59 pop times. Nice presentation with the mitt, quiet, simple receiver.
Run: 9.12 runner in the 60.

Caiden Combs, Gardendale High School (AL), 2025
Positional Profile: 1B/3B Major power bat in the '25 class.
Body: 6-4, 265-pounds. Physical frame. Strength throughout
Hit: RHH. Open, balancerd setup with a quick stride & good rhythm. Upward plane with a clean barrel, ball jumps off the bat, gap-to-gap approach. Major juice to the pullside gap.
Power: 97.2 max exit velocity, averaged 85.4 mph. 375’ max distance. Consistent power to both gaps.
Arm: RH.  INF - 81 mph.  Long, high 3/4 slot with carry.
Defense: Soft hands, moves well side-to-side.
Run: 7.45 runner in the 60.

Evan Duncan, Stanhope Elmore (AL), 2023
Positional Profile: OF/RHP Intriguing uncommitted '23 grad.
Body: 6-6, 220-pounds. Strong, durable frame, strength throughout the frame.
Hit: RHH. Tall, slightly open stance with a leg kick trigger.  Uphill path with big power to the pull side consistently resulting in tilted line drives.
Power: 93.6 max exit velocity, averaged 84 mph. 228’ max distance.
Arm: RH.   OF - 89 mph. Long, high 3/4 slot, ball explodes out of the hand.
Defense: Natural outfield actions, quick first step with steady hands.

Billy (Tre) Fulmer, Chilton County (AL), 2023
Positional Profile: SS/3B
Body: 5-11, 167-pounds. Athletic, well-proportioned build.
Hit: RHH. Upright stance with short, quick stride Whippy barrel through the zone, uphill path, pull-side approach.
Power: 95.4 max exit velocity, averaged 86.5 mph. 303’ max distance.
Arm: RH.  INF - 76 mph.  Quick, high 3/4 action with easy carry and solid accuracy across the diamond.
Defense: Steady-handed with a clean exchange, nice lateral movement.

Arm: RH.  INF - 76 mph.  Shorter, high 3/4 slot.
Defense: On the infield he shows solid footwork and nice glove presentation.

Niguel Jenkins, Pike Road (AL), 2023

Body: 6-2, 209-pounds. Sturdy frame. Strength throughout.

Arm: RH.  INF - 83 mph.  Long, over-the-top slot with carry.
Defense: Soft hands, moves well to both sides, showed solid body control on the slow roller.
