OF Cade Belyeu (Auburn, 2023) was a major run-producer for the Tigers in their Game 1 win in their 1st Round playoff matchup. An Auburn recruit, Belyeu showed some intriguing power with two home runs hitting in the middle of the order, one being to the pull side and one to straight-away center field in his next at-bat. Listed at 6-foot-3, 190-pounds with proportional strength, the left-handed hitting outfielder worked himself into plus counts in his at-bats and looked to hunt the fastball and do damage. Belyeu has present bat speed from the left side and swings a powerful barrel through the zone working with an uphill path that creates plenty of hard contact to the gaps with carry. He looks the part in the box with a physical frame, and finished going 3-for-4 with two HR's and five RBI's in their offensive onslaught.

3B Tanner Waldrop (Auburn, 2024) was another big offensive piece for the Tigers in their mercy rule victory in Game 1 of the 1st Round playoff series. Waldrop, a Top-50 player nationally and Auburn recruit, showed his ability to backspin a baseball to the back-side gap with consistency in his at-bats, as he recorded two doubles to the opposite field gap hitting in the middle of a loaded lineup. At 6-foot-0, 185-pounds, Waldrop has some physicality in his frame but is also athletic enough in the box to cover both sides of the plate. He uses quality separation in his swing that creates plenty of torque with a strong lower-half and quick hands. He's a pure hitter with power potential from the left side with plenty of hitter-ish traits. He finished going 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles in their Game 1 win.

RHP Tucker Jackson (Houston Academy, 2022) has been a fast rising arm for the senior class this year and continued to display why during the 2nd Round of the Class 3A playoffs Friday vs Bayside Academy. Jackson worked 5.1 innings, allowing 3 earned runs and striking out 13. Jackson’s fastball reached 94 mph and sat 91-93 mph consistently throughout his outing. The Pensacola State CC signee paired the high velocity with a wipeout slider that he threw early and often for swing and misses.

RHP Josh Gunther (Bayside Academy, 2023) was dominant during his start in the Class 3A 2nd Round matchup against Houston Academy, as the Wake Forest recruit threw a complete game shutout, scattering four hits and striking out 13. Gunther pitches from an “old-school” windup where he steps behind the rubber before exploding toward the hitter. The junior’s fastball topped out at 92 and consistently worked around 88-90 mph throughout his seven innings of work. Gunther displayed a swing-and-miss breaking ball and the ability to consistently command the baseball as he pumped in 69% strikes and only walked one batter on the night.

INF Memphis Scott (Madison County, 2025) led the offense for the Tigers in Game 1 of their playoff series versus Jacksonville as he had hits in his first two at-bats. In the first inning, the freshman jumped on the first pitch he saw and lined a double to the right center field gap to score the runner from 1st base. In the second inning, Scott approached the plate with two outs and the bases loaded and promptly drove a 2-2 offering over the fence in right center field to give the Tigers an early 5-2 lead. Scott finished Game 1 with five RBIs on two hits with a walk. Although the Tigers lost the series, the left-handed hitter was also 2-for-4 with an RBI in Game 3.

RHP Luke Davenport (James Clemens, 2024) is an arm that we have been following for over a year and Friday night was the best we have seen the 6-foot-3, 175-pounder. Davenport is an ultra-projectable arm with plenty of room for added strength and size, but the sophomore shows easy, clean mechanics now with a feel for pitching. On Friday night, the sophomore located the fastball very well down in the zone at 84-85 mph, bumping 86 mph while also featuring two solid secondary offerings. The breaking ball showed true 11/5 shape with late depth at 73-75 mph which he featured as a swing-and-miss offering. The feel for the changeup at 77-79 mph was advanced that he was able to mix in different counts with tumble away from left-handed hitters.

SS Andrew Lawrence (James Clemens, 2023) is a 6-foot-3, 175-pound rangy shortstop that has continued to show smooth actions with the glove and clean footwork in the dirt. On Friday night, the junior showed off the exploits with the bat as was 5-for-7 in the Jets' doubleheader sweep of Huntsville. Hitting out of the two-hole, Lawrence uses a leg-kick and a slow, controlled load of the hands with a definite middle of the field approach. He was able to handle pitches on both halves of the plate as he also had barreled balls to both sides of the field for base hits.

SS/RHP Mykell Murrah (Elkmont, 2023) displays a lot of high level tools around the diamond. The uncommitted junior shows plenty range and athleticism at 5-foot-10, 165-pounds to both sides of his body when fielding at the shortstop position, while also producing and showing pop at the plate. In Game 1, Murrah pitched through a pair of jams early on but settled in and gave the Red Devils a quality start, while working around some errors in the field. He established the fastball at 82-84, 86 mph to the outer-half of the plate and also flipped a breaking ball at 70-73 mph with 11-5 break. He also got the Red Devils off to a hot start in Game 2, launching a two-run home run to left in the 1st.

1B/RHP Glavine Lamberth (Hokes Bluff, 2025) is an underclassmen to keep an eye on down the road for the Eagles. In Game 1 of their playoff series, Lamberth helped his own cause by working the count and delivering an RBI knock down the right-field line. He collected numerous hits in the two-game set against the Red Devils. He's a quality left-handed hitter with potential to be a middle-of-the-order presence down the road with a strong 6-foot-0, 195-pound frame. Lamberth also showed some potential upside to his game on the mound, displaying a fastball/breaking ball combo that he pounded the zone with.
