UMS-Wright 6 Mary Montgomery 3

UMS-Wright scored three runs in the top of the 8th to pull ahead of Mary Montgomery.  MGM's Tucker Musgrove and UMS-Wright's Richard Brinson both pitched seven innings, allowing three runs each. 

Mary Montgomery rallied for three runs in the bottom of the 3rd.  Brayden Patterson scored on Caleb Lovitt's single. Trey Turner's ground ball to short  would then score Lovitt.

Jackson Bassett's one out single started UMS-Wright's three run rally in the top of the 5th.  After Trey Weaver and Brinson walked, Pearson Ikner's bases loaded double cut the lead to 3-2.  Cameron Snypes then drove in Brinson with a ground ball to short.

Mary Montgomery's Musgrove pitched into the 8th inning. Ikner walked to lead off the 8th and advanced to 3rd after an errant throw on a Snypes ground ball.  Seth Farni's sacrifice fly scored Ikner.  Jackson Williford followed up with two run double to the left center field wall. 

With a 6-3 lead, UMS-Wright's Trey Singleton relieved Brinson to pitch the bottom of the 8th.  After a groundout and a single, Singleton struck out the final two batters to preserve the win for UMS-Wright.  

UMS-Wright improved to 11-5 (2-0 in area)

Mary Montgomery drops to 8-3
