AHSAA Final 4 Team Capsule: Sweetwater Bulldogs (25-9)

In one of the 1A semifinals, the Millry Wildcats (21-12) will travel to the Sweetwater Bulldogs (25-9) in a series that begins Thursday with a doubleheader beginning at 4:00 and the "if necessary" game on Friday at 4:00 PM.

This is a highly anticipated matchup as these area foes will reignite their rivalry after Sweetwater won 2 of 3 games during regular season area play. The winner of this series will advance to the 1A finals in Montgomery with Game 1 of the 1A Finals at Patterson Field on Wednesday, May 16 at 4:00 PM. Games 2 and 3 (if necessary) will be at Riverwalk Stadium on Thursday, May 17 at 10:00 AM.

Sweetwater has a formidable 1-2 punch on the mound in a pair of brothers, Jonah and Sasha.

Jonah Smith RHP / Sweet Water, AL / 2018

UAB signee, has a 12-2 record and a miniscule ERA of 0.654, hitting at a .475 clip with 21 2B's and 27 RBI's

Sasha Smith RHP / Sweet Water , AL / 2020

Sasha carries a 5-0 record into this weekend's matchup, and is currently hitting .377 with 20 RBI's.

JT Etheridge 1B / Sweet Water, AL / 2020

The First Baseman comes into the series hitting .370

Chance Broussard 3B / Sweet Water , AL / 2019

Carries a .341 batting average heading into the series
