As the calendar flips to another year it can only mean one thing is on the horizon...high school baseball season. In the next few weeks, we will be your one-stop-shop to prepare for the 2022 season as we will be releasing several items of note, including:

• January 3rd: Individual team previews from across the state begin and run up until the high school season begins. Thanks to the coaches that have already gotten the information in. If you are a high school coach and have not done so, please do so as soon as possible.

• January 16th: Preseason All-State North event at Hartselle High School in Hartselle. Click HERE to request an invite to the event.     

• January 23rd: Preseason All State South event at The Performance Lab in Mobile. Click HERE to request an invite to the event. 

• January 17th-February 4th: Post-event content from our Preseason All-State events will be released, including Quick Hits, Top Statistical Categories and an Individual Scouting Analysis on each player in attendance. 

• Our preseason Top 10 teams in each AHSAA classification will be released according to the following schedule:
  February 14th: 1A and 4A Preseason Top 10 released
  February 15th: 2A and 5A Preseason Top 10 released
  February 16th: 3A and 6A Preseason Top 10 released
  February 17th: 7A Preseason Top 10 released

• We will release a series of podcasts that will help you get ready for the upcoming high school season as we will cover a variety of topics and have some coaches from across the state in studio to discuss their respective teams. We will also release a weekly podcast during the season to keep our listeners up to date on high school baseball across the state. 

• We will be hosting two high school events during the season this year and are really looking forward to hosting some of the best programs and players from across the state. The PBR Alabama Kickoff Classic will take place February 18th and 19th at Hoover High School and Vestavia Hills High School. Click HERE for information on the event. The PBR Stateline Showdown will take place March 16th-19th at Hazel Green High School and Lincoln County (TN) High School. This event will feature 4 Alabama teams that will each play the 4 participating teams from Tennessee. Click HERE for information on this event. 

Teams across the state have been preparing for the 2022 season for months but they will soon be allowed to get on the field as a team to continue working towards their team goals for the year ahead. Here are some important AHSAA dates for players and teams across the state:

• January 10th: Three week throwing period begins
• January 31st: Full team practice begins
• February 17th: First day for games
