As another year of high school baseball is quickly approaching, we decided to take a look into some of the top teams for this upcoming season in Class 1A.

Sweet Water

-’20 SS Braiden Broussard returns after a very impressive sophomore year. Broussard is ranked #55 in our recent ’20 Player Rankings.

-’19 3B/RHP Chance Broussard played a key role in the championship run. Attended the AL Senior Games and was up to 84 on the mound.

-’20 RHP Sasha Smith was 5-0 up to semifinals and hit in the upper .300s with 20+ RBI’s.

-’20 1B JT Ethridge hit in the upper .300s

-Defeated Spring Garden in the State Championship last year 8-0 in Game 1 and 6-4 in Game 2.

-Record- 29-9

Spring Garden

-’19 OF Luke Ivey returns finishing 2018 with a batting average around .450 last year.

-’20 SS Colby Slayton hit in the low-mid .400's in his sophomore campaign.

-Record- 26-11

Millry

-After making a historic run in 2018, they look to repeat and go further into playoffs in 2019.

-Defeated by Sweet Water in the semifinals.

-Record- 21-14

South Lamar

-Reached the semifinals before being defeated by Spring Garden.

-Record- 20-10
