PBR CANADA MIZUNO PROSPECTS OF THE WEEK
Atlantic
Keegan Wade-Parker 1B / 3B / Parkview , NS / 2022A built 6-foot-3. 220-pound uncommitted corner infielder, Wade-Parker has tools that will translate well at the college level. The setup is clean and relaxed with good leg leverage on his swing, gets on plane with his hands and uses his lower half well. In the infield Wade-Parkers is relaxed and can move well at first. Also has a good body for the position.

Ontario
Markus Kirksey 1B / 3B / Northview Heights SS, ON / 2024At 5-foot-11, 195-pounds Markus Kirksey has some juice in his bat. At the plate, Kirksey uses his body well with good rhythm and tempo in his swing. Works up the middle to pull side, with the ability to run into a couple, and shows a lot of bat speed from the left side. In the infield he displays good footwork with some mobility. Has lots of time to fill out and will be one of the more interesting names in his class.

Sam Shaw SS / OF / Lambrick Park Secondary School, BC / 2023Rankings StateRank: 2 / POS: 1
Shaw, a 5-foot-10 175-pound Xavier commit out of the Victoria Mariners program, shows a high skill set on both sides of the field. At the plate Shaw has an aggressive approach, he won’t get cheated on his swings and looks to drive pitches to the gaps. The swing is loaded with lots of twitch and good extension with his arms. In the infield the feet move well at SS covering lots of ground while staying in his legs.

Alberta
Heath Hachkowski RHP / 1B / St. Joesph , AB / 2022Rankings StateRank: 16 / POS: 7
Hachkowski, a big 6-foot-5 230-pound Big Bend CC commit out of St. Joseph High School, has the ability to impact a game on the mound. The set up is clean and relaxed with a ¾ arm slot, uses his long legs to get down the mound with leverage and generates good drive off the back leg. Has a fastball with some life to it and a slider with good break that can be tough on RHH. Hachkowski can also swing the bat with raw power and an easy but efficient swing that can translate well at the college level. |
Quebec
Jeremy Pilon LHP / 1B / Chene bleu, QC / 2024Pilon, a 5-foot-10 159-pound uncommitted lefty out of the ABC program, is one of the most interesting pitchers in his class. On the mound Pilon has a fast tempo in his delivery, will look to attack hitters early and often and keep hitters off balance. He lives mid 80s, has a clean loose arm from the left side with a lot of whip to it. He attacks hitters with good command and a sharp breaking ball with early depth to it. Has front-end rotation stuff at the college level.
