Davis is a 6-foot, 185-pound lefty that went 8-0 with a 0.72 ERA in 2015, including a complete game victory in the AAA state title game. Davis struck out three and allowed two runs on three hits over three innings of work at the WV Top Prospect Games in August. The uncommitted senior sat 77-79 from a high 3/4 arm slot with some hip coil to his delivery. Davis displayed an athletic, repeatable delivery and similar arm speed on all his deliveries. He showed a 68 mph changeup, a 65 mph curveball with 1/7 rotation and a 72 mph slider in his arsenal of pitches. Davis has an advanced feel for all his pitches and a solid knowledge of how to pitch.

Matt Jewell

Nitro HS, C, Class of 2016

Jewell, a recent Wright State commit, flashed pop times of 1.98-2.05 on throws of 77 mph from the crouch at the WV Top Prospect Games in August. The 6-foot, 195-pound backstop looks ready to play at the next level defensively right now. Offensively, Jewell showcased a 78 mph bat exit velocity from a slightly open stance. The right-handed hitter displayed a strong lower half and a short stride with a tendency to drop the barrel to the hitting zone. Jewell went 2-for-4 at the plate on day two of the event including a double that was laced to the left-center field wall. Jewell showed his athleticism by running a solid 7.25 60-yard dash and demonstrated a follow-me personality on the diamond.

Kirk Jennings

Cabell Midland HS, OF/3B, Class of 2017

Jennings has a very projectable 6-foot-4, 195-pound frame. The right-handed hitter starts from a slightly open stance and utilizes a short lift-and-replace stride to initiate his swing. Jennings displayed above average barrel whip and a feel for the barrel in one of the top rounds of batting practice. The junior registered a 90 mph bat exit velocity and went 3-for-6 at the plate in game action at the WV Top Prospect Games in August.

Josh Petit

George Washington HS, MIF, Class of 2017

Petit has a projectable 6-foot-2, 185-pound frame and ran a 7.25 60-yard dash. The left-handed hitter starts from a wide, square stance and displayed good rhythm and the ability to stay inside the baseball during a solid round of batting practice. Petit went 1-for-5 in game action at the WV Top Prospect Games in August while barreling the baseball in each trip to the plate with a bat exit velocity of 77 mph. The junior showcased a soft glove hand and good footwork defensively with a 77 mph arm across the diamond. His size and foot speed will likely dictate a move to a corner infield position at the next level.

Ben Arthur

George Washington HS, OF, Class of 2017

Arthur flashed the top 60-yard dash time of all prospects in attendance at the WV Top Prospect Games in August (6.62). The 6-foot-1, 165-pound outfielder displayed plenty of fast-twitch actions showcasing an 84 mph arm from the outfield and an 83 mph bat exit velocity. Arthur starts his right-handed swing from a square stance and stays behind the baseball well using all fields with regularity. He went 3-for-7 with a double and three RBI over the course of two games played while swiping two bases. Arthur gets good jumps in the outfield and utilizes his foot speed to cover a great deal of territory.
