2/9/14 - Strong build, 5-foot-9, 180-pound middle infielder. Defensively showed a strong arm across the infield, 83 mph, improved 3 mph from January. Arm action is short and loose, typical infield arm action, athletic and shows he can release on the move. Hands are soft, footwork is fluid, athletic and plays through the baseball. Offensively hits with an excellent setup, maintains proper balance. Short bat path, line drive hitter, 85 mph exit velocity. McLees also showed well above average foot speed getting down the line at 4.27. Currently McLees is one of the best available middle infielders in the state.

1/12/14 - 5-foot-9, 180-pound athletic infielder. Defensively, he has quick, fluid footwork, soft hands and a quick release. He moves athletically and takes aggressive angles to the ball. Arm works loose from high ¾ slot, throws are accurate with solid carry at 80 mph. Ran a 7.6 60. At the plate he hits from a balanced, open stance, smooth backward loading action and short stride. Incorporates the lower half well in the swing while maintaining excellent balance through contact. Has above average bat speed, solid approach, and rhythmic swing that sprayed line drives from gap-to-gap. Exit velocity was 80 mph off a tee.

6.13.13 - Average build, 5-foot-9, 178-pound middle infielder. Defensively shows an athletic arm, long arm action, shows accuracy, 78 mph across the diamond. Hands work, shows a clean exchange. Offensively hits from a balanced setup. Occasionally shows a short bat path with some extension. Middle of the field approach, contact guy.
