2/9/14 - Big bodied left handed two-way player, 6-foot-2, 200-pounds. On the mound arm action is long and loose, high ¾ slot. Fastball has run, commanded the zone at 80-82 mph. Curveball works on 11/5 plane, near fastball arm speed, occasional bite, 71-73 mph, showed feel for the zone. Changeup has advance arm side action, advanced feel, 72-73 mph with fastball arm speed. Offensively hits from a slightly open stance, smooth loading action with short stride. Bat path stays flat through the zone, gets excellent extension, pull side power hitter. 95 mph exit velocity from the tee. Defensively has an advance arm from first base, 85 mph across the diamond. Hands are soft with natural actions around bag. 4.52 runner down the line.

8/4/13 - Alverio is a big bodied left handed two way player who brings some pop to the plate from the left side. At 6-foot-1, 200-pounds he brings a powerful bat to the left side, his bat path can get long at times but shows excellent extension and stays flat through the baseball. He has natural actions around the bag with soft hands and the ability to make plays in the dirt. Alverio also shows promise on the mound. The southpaw displayed an excellent changeup that baffled opposing hitters, he maintains arm speed with the pitch and looks to have a natural feel for the zone with it. His fastball registered at 77-78 mph at the Midwest Future Games and worked two scoreless innings. Its yet to be determined whether Alverio will go further on the mound or with the bat but right now he is showing promise with both.

1/27/13 - Big bodied, left handed two way player, 6-foot-1, 210-pounds. On the mound, delivery lacks rhythm and direction, lower half opens early. Arm action shows regular effort, high ¾ arm slot. Fastball shows slight run, 76-78 mph. Curveball has slurve action, loose spin, lacks true action at times, 11/5 plane, 65-68 mph. Changeup show stiffness, 68-69 mph. Hits from the left side, open stance, smooth load, short stride. Stays long through the baseball, bat path shows extension, gap to gap power hitter.
