3.30.16:  Mocabee has a projectable, athletic frame. He throws from a high three-quarters arm slot with good plane and late run. His fastball sat 84-86, and touched 88. His curveball had hard 11/5 break running 69. Defensively, Mocabee has a good first step with clean actions and throws from a high three-quarters arm slot with an above average arm.
6.2.15: Mocabee throws from a three-quarters slot and has a tall-and-fall delivery. He has a short arm action that is very fast. His shoulders are closed and slightly downhill as he strides down the mound and he lands square before falling off as he finishes. His fastball sat 87-89 in his first two innings of work with slight armside run and good downhill plane. He held 85-86 with the ability to grab an 87 throughout the game. He threw a slow 11/5 curveball that he sometimes slowed his arm down a bit on and came in 67-72. The pitch was good when thrown with similar action to his fastball. At the plate, Mocabee has a crouched, open stance with high hands. He has a short swing and good bat speed and will hit the ball where it is pitched. In his final at-bat he showed his knowledge of the strike zone with a couple of good two-strike takes before singling to right on 3-2 pitch.

2.22.15:  Hit from a tall and athletic stance.  Small stride that maintained its line and balance.  Slight load back with lower half explosion to the ball.  Maintains his balance throughout the swing.  Showed a fast bat with an Exit Velocity of 89 mph.  Swing path stayed level with good extension.  Stroke should result in line drives with gap to gap power.  In the field, he threw from a loose ¾ arm slot.  Throws were accurate with a Positional Velocity of 84 mph.  Had soft hands and fluid footwork.  Played through the ball and demonstrated clean exchanges.

Mocabee is a 6-foot, 180-pound, third baseman that hit from a wide balanced stance. Short/quick load back with the hands, short stride to the baseball, little rhythm, and explosive.  High hands created leverage throughout the swing. Maintained balance well. Line drive approach with gap-to-gap power. Used hands very well, good extension. Has power potential. Had an exit velocity of 85 mph off of the tee. In the field, Mocabee had smooth movements and good instincts. Had good feet had a steady glove. Showed athleticism in lateral movement. Softness in the hands. Quick hands on his transfers and throws were accurate. Has an above average arm strength with the positional velocity of 81 mph.
