8/10/14 Stanz is an uncommitted senior two-way prospect that showed well in all facets of the game. The 5-foot-10, 170-pound right-handed hitter barreled the baseball to all fields during batting practice from a slightly open stance with a toe tap stride. Stanz used a short swing path and good rhythm to create a bat exit velocity of 79 mph. He went 2-for-5 with a double in game action while being retired on line drive outs twice over two days. Stanz displayed the ability to make plays on the move while also using several arm angles to make throws across the diamond. The righty, who is bouncing back from some arm issues, sat 82-83 on the mound with command of a 73 mph curveball with 11/5 rotation and a solid 75 mph changeup. When at 100% Stanz' fastball usually sits in the 85-86 range.
