6-foot-4, 225-pound power hitting first baseman. Big, physical prospect. Swings it from the left side. Shows balance at the plate with an explosive lower half. Shows quick bat speed (88 mph off the tee) and an uphill path to the ball. Definite pull power, but showed the ability to use the left side of the field. Moves well around first base. Quick exchange on throws to second base. Draws comparisons to University of Cincinnati first baseman Jeff Murray.
2/18/13
6-foot-4, 210-pound power hitting first baseman. His body has continued to get stronger and leaner. The left-handed power hitting draws comparisons to Jeff Murray, a 2012 University of Cincinnati recruit. He uses an explosive lower half and quick bat speed (82 mph exit velocity) while hitting the ball to all fields. Definite follow this summer.
8/1/12
6-foot-4, 230-pound prospect with big, solid frame. Registered a 8.00 60-yard dash. Moves well around the bag. Shows good arm strength with 81 mph velocity across the infield. At the plate, the left-handed hitter shows middle of the order potential. Shows quick hands into the zone with pull power. Uses a big leg kick to trigger his swing. On the mound, the righty shows some raw skills with an 80-81 mph fastball. His curveball sits in the mid 60’s. The delivery requires some effort. More of a thrower than a pitcher at this point, but could develop in time with present raw skills.
