Andy Weber (2B, 2015), Virginia commit
Andy is part of the best middle infield I’ve seen this year. He started his day with an impressive pregame in which he displayed good footwork, transfer, arm strength and speed. Along with these skills, he displayed an intent with every movement on the field. His body type is ideal for a quality DI middle infielder. I estimate the he is six feet tall, with broad shoulders, and lean body. Instincts include good first steps on ground balls and pop ups, which he attacked with an aggressive confidence. I think he could handle both second base and shortstop. Andy batting left handed in the third spot in the line-up, had an off day, but his swing looked smooth and quick. I will definitely try and find out where he is playing this summer to get another look.
