6/9/15 - Tompkins is a 5-foot-10 205-pound right-handed hitting catcher.  Tompkins posted one of the top exit velos of the day at 90 mph.  He has as smooth load, with slight rotation, short stride, quick bat, strong top hand, line drive approach to middle-pull side, collected a pair of hits during game action and ran a 7.30 60.  Behind the plate, fluid glove-to-hand exchange with momentum towards second base, pop times between 1.90 and 2.10, best times of the day, 75 mph velo as a catcher.
6/4/14 – Tompkins is a 5-foot-10 195-pound catcher. He had a fluid exchange that produces pop times between 2.05-2.18. Tompkins has a 73 MPH position velo. At the plate, Trynton has an athletic setup with a smooth load and good balance through his swing. He is a gap-to-gap hitter with an exit velo of 89 MPH.
1/20/14 – Tompkins is a stocky 5-foot-10 195-pound catcher. He had a fluid exchange that produces pop times between 2.05 and 2.30 and throws that were mostly close to the bag. Tompkins has a 71 MPH positional velo and ran a 7.50 60. At the plate, he show the ability to hit gap-to-gap line drives consistently with a level swing. He has good balance and a short stride and produced an exit velo 77 MPH.
1/20/14 – Tompkins is a 5-foot-10 195-pound right handed pitcher with a quick arm and an over-the-top arm action.  He throws his fastball at 75-78 MPH with late run.  He throws his curveball for strikes at 64-66 MPH with a 12/6 shape and near fastball arm speed.  Tompkins throws his change at 69-70 MPH.  He has good command of his fastball and curveball and has the ability to develop velo over time.
