7/6/14 - Geha’s combination of toughness and tools was on full display in Wichita. Injured early in the tournament, Geha continued to catch 1-2 games a day and perform at a high level. He’s an athletic catcher who moves well and has a strong, accurate arm. He repeatedly puts sub-2.00’s on the bag at second base, standing out in this category more than any catcher we have seen this summer. He also swung the bat with authority collecting a number of extra base hits. In addition, he runs well for a catcher with home-to-1B times in the 4.40 range from the right side.

Geha showed fundamental catching mechanics during bullpen sessions, sticking the ball in all parts of the zone with a firm wrist. He also showed good instincts while blocking, smothering the baseball and keeping it in front of him. At the plate, the 5-foot-9, 150-pound Geha keeps his hands inside the ball well, at times showing an inside out swing; pushing the ball to the right side.
