8/5/15 - Swift is a 5-foot-8 170-pound left-handed hitting outfielder and left-handed pitcher. Swift ran a 7.34 60 and had an exit velo of 87 mph, one of top LHH exit velos on the day.  Aggressive hitter, open stance, holds hands high pre-swing, level path, quick bat speed, power to pull side, singled in game action.  In the outfield, 84 mph positional velo, one of top outfield velos for the event, works behind ball, plays through catch, quick catch and throw, high three-quarters release, throws on a line with carry to the bag. On the mound, Swift showed a velocity increase, hitting 87 mph, top LHP velo of the event, throws with some effort, three-quarters release, quick arm speed, aggressive in zone, threw strikes with mostly fastball and slider, fastball at 83-86 mph, touched 87 mph twice, slider has 2-to-8 shape, 75-76 mph, change-up at 76 mph, slight fade, three strikeouts during outing.

6/9/15 - Swift is a 5-foot-8 172-pound left-handed hitting 1B with 91 mph exit velo, one of the tops among lefty hitters for the event.  Swift takes an aggressive swing at the plate, mostly pull during batting practice, starts with an open stance and high hands, lands square, level path through hitting zone, loose hands., runs a 6.97 60. On the infield, has 79 mph velo at 1B, high three-quarters release, mostly accurate throws, quick footwork, clean exchange. In the outfield, one of the top outfield velos of the day at 86 mph, attacks ball and plays through the catch, high three-quarters release, accurate throws. On the mound, Swift has smooth rhythm in his delivery, aggressive down the mound, high-three quarters release.  Repeats release well.  Fastball most at 81-82 mph, sink and cut, throws breaking pitch in any count, 2-to-8 shape 71-68 mph, change-up at 72-73 mph, with sink.  Works ahead in count and has quick tempo between pitches, has command of all pitches.

2/16/15 - Swift is a 5-foot-7, 180-pound class of 2016 left-handed pitcher and outfielder. Attends Staley HS, in Kansas City, MO. Bats left, tall set-up, high hands, mini leg kick, fast hands, some lift, finishes with extension. Very aggressive swing, takes an absolute hack. Hard pull side contact. Exit velocity clocked at 86 mph, ran a 4.22 home-to-first from the left side. In the outfield aggressive to the ball, quick high three-quarters arm action, 89 mph throwing velocity. Fielded the ball cleanly at first base, short snap throws, accurate arm. On the mound has a deliberate pace from pivot to high knee lift, up-tempo move to plate, low three-quarters slot, finishes square. Repeats delivery well. Fastball cuts and sinks, works down, 81-84 mph. Breaking ball with tight 1/7 spin, controls it, 70-71 mph. Change up with downer sinking action, 75-76 mph, fastball arm speed, good pitch. Attacks the strike zone with all three pitches. Solid across the board tools and skills. Aggressive player.

6/17/14 - Swift is a strong 5-foot-7 165-pound left handed hitting 1B/OF.  In the outfield, Swift posted throws at 80 MPH with mostly accurate throws and good carry.  He had aggressive actions and fluid to the ball, working behind the ball.  On the infield, Swift showed good feet and a quick hand-to-glove exchange.  He had an positional velo of 78 MPH and made somewhat accurate throws.  He has soft hands and a high 3/4 release in both the outfield and infield.  Offensively, Swift starts with an open stance and uses a small leg kick.  He has a strong lower half and has a line drive approach, mostly in the pull in the gap.  Swift has a level bat path and generates good bat speed.  He runs a 4.31 home-to-first and recorded an 86 MPH exit velo.   

6/17/14 – Swift is stocky 5-foot-7 165-pound LHP with more room to grow.  He attacked hitters with a 80-82 MPH fastball that showed late life down in the zone.  He used a 1-to-7 curveball with a late break as his out pitch and showed command of a 68-72 MPH change-up with late arm side release.  He has a quick arm and throws with some effort. 

1/4/14 - Swift is a boxy-bodied 5-foot-7, 165-pound left-handed pitcher that throws from a low ¾ slot with long, slinging arm action.  His tempo goes from slow and controlled to fast which likely causes his 80-82 mph fastball to get up on hitters quicker than the radar gun registers.  Swift showed a fastball that runs away from right-handed hitters as well as a firm glove side fastball.  He also threw a 69-70 late breaking slurve and 74-75 sinking change-up.

1/4/14 - Swift is a 5-foot-7, 165-pound left-hand hitting outfielder.  In the outfield he showed fluid footwork and clean exchanges.  He had the strongest arm from the outfield, with a top velocity of 85 mph, making one accurate throw after another.  At the plate, he has a tall set-up and open stance.  He then uses a slight leg kick as he strides inline.  He has a smooth load as he drops his hands before unloading and aggressive, explosive pull-side hack.  He has bat speed and power potential.  His exit velocity was clocked at 84 mph.
