3/21/18 - 6’4/230, Junior. Tall, large framed righty with a durable build. Average athlete who I last saw in high school with a long arm action. He’s made a nice improvement at Ole Miss by shortening his arm path and further developing his breaking ball. He’s always had a starter’s delivery with good balance, consistent hand/glove separation, a controlled stride, soft landing and a still head. He lands cross-body to create some angle and throws downhill. Fastball was 91-93 mph early in the game, settling in at 90-91 by the third and sustaining until his departure in the seventh. He was spot-on with his command, easily going in and out, while showing tailing life to his arm side. Manipulated his breaking ball, showing two distinct shapes/pitches at the same velocity of 81-83 mph. Both pitches were average to above quality as he used the curveball-shaped breaker early in the count and the slider-shape as a backfoot finish pitch to left-handed hitters or an expand the zone, chase pitch to righties. His changeup was also an average to better pitch on occasion at 80-84 mph. He used it 0-0 to a few hitters, as well as a pitch for when he was behind in the count...which wasn’t too often. Overall, Feigl was impressive with his polished, Major League ready delivery and great feel of a four-pitch repertoire. Although there is nothing flashy about him, a team may see Feigl’s value as a strike-throwing, potential back-end starting pitcher and a likely fourth-to-six round pick. For the season Feigl is 5-0, 1.10 ERA, 3 BB, 35 SO in 32.2 IP.
