2/12/17 - Slayden is a 5-foot-10 170-pound right-handed hitting shortstop in Kansas’ 2018 class.  He ran a 7.40 laser timed 60 and a 4.30 home to first.  He has an 89 mph exit velo. At the plate, open stance with rhythm in hands, early toe touch, quick bat speed, mostly middle to pull side line drives during hitting evals, flashing pull side power.  On the infield, 75 mph positional velo, high three quarters release, fields ball in athletic position, gains ground to 1B after the catch, mostly accurate throws.

5/31/16 - Slayden is a 5-foot-10 170-pound right-handed hitting shortstop in Kansas’ 2018 class.  He ran a 7.07 60 and a 4.40 home-to-first.  He has an exit velo of 85 mph. At the plate, simple and repeatable swing, solid consistent contact to the middle of the field, short inline stride, some arm bar, level plane though the hitting zone.  On the infield, high three-quarters arm slot, gains momentum to first base after the catch, fluid exchange with footwork, accurate throws, strong and athletic frame.
