4/22/16 GAME NOTES: The Vanderbilt signee made his first start of the year on Friday. Tendernous in his triceps and some inflammation in his throwing elbow scratched him from making previous scheduled starts. On a strict pitch count, Schaller pitched 2 innings allowing 3H, 2R, 0BB and struck out three.  He threw 30 pitches in the two innings, all of which were fastballs.  In the first, he left the ball up in the zone leading to the 3 hits and 2 runs, though some shaky defense behind him didn't help his cause. In the second inning he found the zone, striking out consecutive batters and getting a  weak ground ball out to end the inning.  His fastball sat 90-92, touching 93 three times.

October 2015-
In Jupiter, 2016 RHP Reid Schaller(Lebanon HS, IN; Vanderbilt recruit) started the game, and although he struggled to find the strike zone early on, he topped at 92 mph while sitting in the 88-91 range. Schaller struck out four, walked two and allowed three hits in three innings

MWFG 8/16/13:
RHP from Lebanon (2016), is a premium power pitcher. Schaller continues to add velocity and become more mechanically refined. When we first saw Schaller in the fall he was a dangly righty with a high ceiling and topped out at 84. Now Schaller is one of the most talked about righties in the country. Schaller was up to 90 at the Future’s Games and has been up to 92. The righty shows a better breaking ball and a developing changeup. The most impressive thing about Reid is he throws strikes consistently, which is not common in young power arms.

4/26/13 Game Notes: 6-foot-2, 165 pound freshman sat 87-88 mph touching 90 in the first inning last night.  Sat 85-87 most of the night after the first inning.  Showed an 82-85 mph 2 seam fastball with run.  Was 83-86 mph from the stretch.  Changeup was 75-77 with some arm side run.  Works at a deliberate pace with a high leg kick.  Arm was quick and loose.  Tends to be a little stiff on the front side when landing.  Had 6 K's and 1 walk in his win against Crawfordsville, ending their 42 game conference win streak. Highly projectable 2016 RHP.

2/23/13:
6-foot-2, 165 pound RHP from Lebanon HS.  His arm is quick and has some arm strength at 81-84 mph.  Schaller is still developing how to pitch. The tools and makeup are there for him to be special on the mound. Works in a deliberate pace with a high leg kick. He lands stiff on the front side. Fastball is 81-84 with a long, loose arm action. Breaking ball works down with early break. Change-up shows arm side run. Both off speed pitches are a work in progress.

10/21/12:
Schaller is highly projectable 6-foot-2 freshman RHP.  He displays a quick, strong arm on the mound with a heavy fastball touching 84 mph.  He possesses two off speed pitches; 72-73 mph breaking ball and 76-77 mph changeup.  Both off speed pitches still need developed, but showed the ability to throw his changeup consistently in the zone with some sink action.  Though he is raw in many areas, Schaller possesses tons of upside, with a projectable frame and long limbs. Schaller is a high follow in the 2016 class.

4/4/18 - 6’3/210, Red-shirt freshman, RHP- Pitched in game three of the series, throwing 50 pitches in one and two-thirds of an inning. Walked four while throwing his fastball up to 98 mph.
