6/19/14 - 6-foot-2, 195-pound left-handed hitting catcher currently ranked No. 204 in Illinois’ 2015 class hits from a wide base, turning front foot inward to load hips.  Slightly uphill bat path produced 89 mph exit velocity with power to his pull side.  Defensively, pop times ranged between 2.04-2.19 throwing 73 mph from the crouch.  Showed accuracy on throws to second from short, over the top arm action with clean exchanges from glove to hand.  Ran a 7.65 60.

4/29/14 Ranked No. 157 in Illinois’ 2015 class. Singled sharply up the middle for an RBI in first at bat with two strikes. Hits from a slightly open stance. Coils front side well, stride with front foot turned in and loads hips, staying closed. Produces tremendous amount of torque and bat speed (up to 100 mph at Prospect ID Showcase). While Haring produces bat speed, he tended to sell out for power in his two at bats that lead to strikeouts. He spun off his front foot on several hittable pitches early in the count fouling them off. Smyk dotted the outside corner on one strikeout, and buried a tough to hit breaking ball down and in on Haring’s last strikeout.  Defensively, Haring catches, but played first today. Dekalb did not take infield due to arriving late for traffic. Showed arm strength, but threw a ball into centerfield on a pick-off attempt.

2/17/14 - Left handed hitting catcher, 6-foot-1, 190-pounds, strong build. Offensively hits from the left side, open stance, short stride to the baseball. Pull side power approach, recorded the top exit velocity at the event topping out at 100 mph multiple times. Bat path works uphill, path plays to his strengths. Defensively uses a long arm action out of the crouch, high ¾ slot, 72 mph out of the crouch. Posted pop times at 2.11-2.29.
