4.14.16 - Southern Illinois recruit. Ranked No. 37 in the Illinois 2016 class. 6-foot-4, 205-pound left-handed pitcher with a strong, athletic, well-proportioned build. High IQ on the mound, pounds the zone, understands how to pitch and attack hitters. Routinely added and subtracted from his two breaking balls. Early in the count, used a curveball, feel, depth, 1/7 shape and ranged between 68-71 mph. Also, threw a slider/cutter, 10/4 shape and clocked at 73-75 mph early in counts; with two strikes turned into more of a cutter, sharp, late break, routinely back foot right-handed hitters, flashed swing and miss action, 77-78 mph. Fastball, tilt, mainly straight, occasional cut to his glove side, sat 84-87 mph, touching 88 mph early; settled in at 83-86 mph for the rest of the game. Delivery is clean and repeatable with rhythm. Clean arm action out of high ¾ slot window, gets extension out front, working the bottom of the strike zone. Overall, knows how to pitch, pounds the zone and attacks hitters. Final Line: 6IP, 5H, 2R, 0ER, 8K, 1BB.

9.5.15 - Southern Illinois commit. Long lean frame, delivery works slightly open to his glove side. Held fastball velocity at 80-83 mph, touched 84 mph, cut action. Good feel for the curveball 72-74 mph, 11/5 action.
1st Team All State: Harrison led O’Fallon to the Super-Sectional in 2015, where they dropped a tough one to eventual class 4A State Champion Providence. The left-handed hitting OF/LHP put up incredible two-way numbers this spring, hitting .418 with 15 doubles, two triples, four home runs, 49 RBI, and 33 runs scored. He posted a .503 OBP, .672 slugging percentage, and a 1.176 OPS. On the mound, the SIU-Carbondale commit went 11-2 with one save and a 1.273 ERA, with 81 strikeouts and 22 walks in 66 innings pitched. He only allowed 36 hits, posting a .879 WHIP.

4/28/15 - Southern Illinois recruit, currently ranked No. 30 in Illinois’ 2016 class. Athletically built 6-foot-3, 190-pound two-way player. Threw a three-hitter and notched 10 strikeouts with no walks in complete-game effort against Lutheran South. Retired the first nine batters he faced (six via strikeout). After yielding all three hits and both runs in the fourth inning, he shut down Lutheran South (15-4) by retiring the next nine batters to close out the game.  Mixed three pitches well. Fastball sat 80-81 throughout, topping at 82. Consistent strike thrower. Also threw highly effective upper-70s cutter. Harrison also helped himself by delivering a big two-run double in O’Fallon’s four-run fifth inning to erase a 2-1 deficit.

4.14.15 - 6-foot-3, 190-pound left-handed hitting LHP/OF plays right field and relieved Holba in this outing. Fastball sat 79-82 mph from long, high ¾ arm slot, high front side in delivery, shoulders work uphill, toe down at balance point, stride direction is in line with home plate, lands slightly closed spinning off at release. Shoulders working uphill creates downhill plane on fastball, and depth to hard slider at 74-76 mph. Slider is a future plus pitch, thrown aggressively. Offensively, hits from a slightly open setup, holds hands high initially, bloop single in first at bat. Ran 4.69 and 4.82 to first on infield groundouts. Also walked in final plate appearance. Showed a strong arm from rightfield in pregram, has put on some good muscle, especially in lower half which is getting stronger.

7/9/14 - 6-foot-3, 190-pound left-handed hitting outfielder/left-handed pitcher impressed with lanky, athletic frame and two-way ability.  Was the top two-way prospect in attendance at the Metro East Open.  Hits from a balanced, open setup with hands loading back smoothly with a short stride, and a fast, short, level bat path.  Fluid rhythm in swing produced 88 mph exit velocity, second highest at the event, with power to his pull side.  Defensively, showed fluid, clean actions in the outfield, aggressively attacking the baseball and throwing 83 mph from a long, loose, high ¾ arm action with carry.  Ran a 7.45 60, and 4.82 seconds to first.  On the mound missed arm side several times with 77-80 mph fastball, which exhibited arm side run when down in the zone.  Falls off towards third base landing open at times, but loads well over the rubber and arm is long and clean.  73-76 mph slider was firm, with late breaking 2/8 action.  71-74 mph changeup also showed arm side run.

4/22/13 Ranked No. 31 in Illinois’ 2016 class, No. 129 overall. Verbally committed to Southern Illinois. 6-foot-3, 190-pound left-handed hitter. Mature offensive approach, relaxed and patient. Excellent balance, level path, average bat speed. Hits second in batting order. Finished game 1-for-1 with two walks and a deep sacrifice fly to left field. Also had infield single, 4.65 down the line.

Verbally committed to Southern Illinois in January of his sophomore year.
7/23/13 - Harrison is one of the more projectable prospects in Illinois’ 2016 class. The 6-foot-3, 175-pound left handed two-way player shows athleticism and a rangy frame. At the plate the left handed hitter showed excellent rhythm, barrel awareness and a high rate of contact. Balanced stance, slightly taller approach, short stride, good balance throughout. Bat path is short to the baseball showed excellent extension, fluid rhythm with occasional pull side approach, 80 mph exit velocity. Harrison has the potential to be one of the best left handed hitters in the class. Defensively showed soft hands with natural actions around the bag, arm played well and showed the ability to start the double play at first base. On the mound the lefty worked at 75-77 mph with occasional cut action. His curveball worked on an 11/5 plane flashing sharp action and control, 64-67 mph. Harrison is a high follow in the 2016 class and will be interesting to watch develop over the next few years.
1/20/13 - A top-level Class of 2016 prospect, Harrison shows potential to be a legitimate two-way player in the future. Projectable, athletic 6-foot-3, 174-pound frame with plenty of room to fill out. As a freshman at the Illinois Underclass Invite, Harrison graded out well across the board. Offensively, shows an advanced approach for age. His swing is loose, athletic, quiet and repeatable. Showed bat speed through the hitting zone and excellent extension after contact while staying balanced throughout. As he grows into his frame, Harrison should acquire more power. At first base, he’s athletic around the bag with soft hands. Harrison continued to impress on the mound. His arm works with fluidity and ease, using a long backside arm action from a high-3/4 slot. He has an athletic, repeatable delivery, maintaining excellent rhythm and tempo throughout. Commands the strike zone with three pitches. His fastball topped at 76 mph, but it is plain to see there will be more coming in the future. His curveball, in the 62-64 range, shows potential of being a plus pitch in the future. He throws it with confidence, showing some two-plane action. He also showed feel for a 66-68 mph changeup, which he threw with near fastball arm action for strikes.
