1/7/17- The 6-foot-3, 195 pound LHP/OF has the prototypical build you look to project on. Fairly new to the mound, he shows a lot of potential with a clean quick arm action. From a ¾ arm action the fastball works from 83-84 mph with some late life. He tends to get around the curveball, but it has a quality shape at 70 mph. He also showed a changeup at 73-74 mph. Offensively, the left handed hitter has some bat speed and strength. He has a good path, but tends to cut himself off and could make a big jump if he consistently got extended. Overall very athletic and projectable and has tools that will make him an interesting follow.
8/22/15- 2018 OF/1B 6’2”/175 Raymond showed athleticism and range in the OF and finds the ball over his shoulder well. Aggressive base runner, high waisted, and still raw from the LH side w/ bat, but the tools are there. Very vocal and loves to play the game.
6-foot-2 175 pounds with a tall, long, lean, loose, athletic, and projectable frame. At the plate he goods a good separation for his load and gets his foot down early. Nice, easy loose swing with a good plane. Drives the ball with authority to all fields. In the outfield he takes good routes to the ball and has a long, loose, over the top arm action and threw 83 mph in the rain with good carry. At first athletic, loose actions with soft hands and good footwork and threw 76 mph across the diamond to third. Raymond also produced a 79 mph exit bat velocity. Fields an athletic kid with a lot of upside because he has a lot of room to mature, fill out, and get stronger. He will definitely be able to play at the next level with a good chance to play division I of he continues to progress and get stronger.
