Ricky Sisto, SS, Liverpool HS, NY (2015)

The No. 44 NY Player in the 2015 Class, Sisto stands 6-foot-1 190-pounds with a great baseball body and frame to build on. The Miami of Ohio commit fields the ball out in front of his body with a smooth transfer, uses smooth footwork lining himself up with his target. He shows a variety of arm slots all with accuracy and arm strength at 81 mph with more in the tank. He plays SS with smooth baseball actions with a strong confidence. At the plate he sets up very balanced and athletic, on the pitch he uses a back load and leg lift with a short stride. His bat path is on the incline through the zone, generating power to both gaps and finishes balanced through the ball. Exit velocity has been up to 93 mph off a tee.

From The Gridiron
The sleek power hitting middle infielder, who verbally committed to Miami of Ohio in late August, made the decision to give football a go this fall for his senior year. Sisto, who just happens to be the starting quarterback on the now 6-0 Liverpool HS team, is showing CNY just what kind of special talent he is. Through six games behind center, Sisto has completed 42 of his 71 attempts (59.2 percent), thrown for 511 yards and four TD passes to date. He also has six carries on the year for 47 yards, nearly 8 yards per carry. The definition of dual threat, Sisto is showing his clean, D1 baseball skills are transferring just fine on the football field.

Analysis:

It's pretty impressive to see him excelling not only at the plate and middle infield, where he is going to play his college baseball, but as the quarterback for the No. 3 ranked Large School team in Central New York. He was a relatively hidden gem from CNY, who through three PBR events, was always in the conversation as one of the top performers. The skill set he brings to the table is far greater than just tools, there is a love and passion for the game that no coach can teach and he shows that every time he takes the field. Excited to follow his development this spring season.
