The New York Top Prospect Games are less than a week away with lots of buzz being generated leading up. Here's a look the shortstops coming and some inside info on a few.
The shortstops will be lead by Tyler Phillips, he's not only the elder of the group, but he just finished his first year in junior college where he received All American honors. He is extremely athletic, with a plus arm and great actions. Ricky Sisto is another SS to keep an eye on. He passes the eye test with a perfect body build and frame for the position. He has smooth actions, a strong arm, and shows signs of good range. He also pounds the baseball and holds a 93 mph exit velocity, Ryan Walker should impress as well with an above average arm and good baseball actions around the ball at short.
Young Guys to Keep an Eye on:
Nico Limoncelli, 2017, strong arm, smooth and runs well.
Colin Bevard, 2016, great arm, runs like a deer, plus power potential
Wyatt Myers, 2016, great body with good athleticism, solid arm and glove, big bat.
