Scouting Report
New York Games (July 2015) Very athletic build standing at a solid 6-foot-1, 175-pounds frame. Clean and smooth approach with soft and relaxed hands as a fielder, rangy, clean loose arm action with accuracy to target. At the plate stance is open and relaxed, during the pitch back load is smooth and stride is short. Hands are short and quick to the ball with some uphill bat plane tilt on swing. Finish is high and shows strength as a projectable hitter. Pitching he Is an athletic and strong 6-foot-1, 175-pounds and can flat out pitch.  Balanced and smooth delivery with a long and loose arm action.  Mid to high-3/4 arm slot.  Fastball showed hard sink with some late action at 81-82 mph.  Showed he can bring up velo when needed. Sat 83-84 for an inning from the stretch.  Would like to see him speed up his tempo between pitches. Curveball showed early action, but is able to throw it anywhere in the zone.  Impressive pitcher, lives off the fastball, able to spot on both side of the plate, headed to Canisius fall of 2017.

A gifted two-way player for his high school and travel programs, Smith can run well (7.10 60) and swings an athletic bat from the right-side.
