Missouri Underclass Games: Corner Infield Analysis

On June 13, Prep Baseball Report Missouri held the Missouri Underclass Games. Over 80 players in the 2019, 2020 and 2021 classes attended.
In the days to come, we will break down the event position-by-position. Today we will take a look at the corner infielders. Players are listed in alphabetical order.
Player's profiles have been updated with profile pictures, videos and stats from the event. Coaches will have new profiles to add their dashboard on ScoutPlus and players will be able to update information on their profile with ProspectPlus.

Corner Infielders
Colin Bergmann 3B / CBC, MO / 2019Bergman is a strong 6-foot 180-pound right-handed hitting third baseman in Missouri’s 2019 class. He ran a 7.25 laser timed 60 and a 5.10 home to first. He has a 91 mph exit velo. At the plate, open stance, aggressive and quick bat speed, swing bat with a purpose, mostly pull side line drives during batting practice, pull side power. On the infield, 82 mph positional velo, quick footwork, fields ball in athletic position, momentum after the catch, over the top release, arm works, mostly accurate throws. Singled to left in game action, two fly outs to left. |
Braxton Bragg 1B / Liberty, MO / 2019Bragg is a 6-foot-2 180-pound right-handed hitting first baseman in Missouri’s 2019 class. He ran a 7.83 laser timed 60 and a 4.73 home to first. He has an 84 mph exit velo. At the plate, balanced stance, short and controlled stride, no wasted movement, fast bat speed, solid consistent line drives to pull side during batting practice, shows power to pull gap. At first base, fluid actions, soft hands, high three quarters arm slot, accurate throws, feet create momentum to throw, 79 mph positional velo. Collected a pair of singles to left field in game action. |
Luke Burk SS / Galena , MO / 2019Burk is a 6-foot 175-pound right-handed hitting third baseman in Missouri’s 2019 class. He ran a 7.25 laser timed 60 and a 4.38 home to first. He has an 89 mph exit velo. At the plate, athletic set up, in line stride, rhythm in hands, body stays under control, loose hands, gap to gap approach, power to pull side, repeats swing. Will Fricker 3B / Park Hill South, MO / 2020Fricker is a 6-foot-1 170-pound right-handed hitting third baseman in Missouri’s 2020 class. He ran a 7.88 60 and a 5.60 home to first. He has an 87 mph exit velo. At the plate, starts in a wide stance, reverse toe tap, in line stride, mostly pull side contact during batting practice, has leverage in lower half, quick bat speed. Chase Hill 3B / Kansas City Christian, MO / 2020Hill is a long levered 6-foot-2 182-pound switch-hitting third baseman in Missouri’s 2020 class. He ran a 7.74 laser timed 60 and a 4.94 home to first. He has an 89 mph exit velo. At the plate, simple and repeatable swing, no wasted movement, balanced stance, in line stride, strong lower half, level path, pull side power.
