Top Kansas Stories of 2015: #20 Get Hits 5th Annual All-Star Game

As 2015 is coming to an end, we will take a look back on the year that was.  PBR-Kanas will post the top #20 stories of year, starting today and ending New Year's Day with the #1 Article of 2015.

GET HITS 5TH ANNUAL ALL-STAR GAME

Get Hits 4 Education announces its 5th Annual Baseball All-Star Game, that  features top high school players from the region, following their performance on summer elite teams, will return to Community America Ballpark on August 16, 2015.

The Get Hits All-Star Game celebrates youth baseball talent in the Midwest by giving current high school student-athletes a professional platform to compete against equally talented peers for the best baseball scholarships and professional baseball opportunities.

This celebration simultaneously educates and encourages younger student-athletes to dedicate themselves in the classroom and in the "field" of their choice to pursue and make their dreams come true.

2014's game saw almost every MLB team represented and a number of area colleges. "This gives our Kansas City kids exposure and an opportunity to show how deep a pool of talent we have in this area that deserves to be recognized.” said founder Karl Carswell. “We’re excited to keep an event like this in Kansas City and are looking for ways to continue to grow our reach.”

This year funds raised will go toward scholarships and developing facilities. Tickets are available at Get Hits Tickets for $11 in advance or $15 at the box office on the day of the game.
