Arkansas Prospects World Series Highlights: David Vilches

David Vilches is a versatile baseball player competes at a high level. He showed this spirit last week in Lubbock Texas, when he pitched a complete game in the Premiere World Series Championship game with a fractured right hand. We set down with Coach Andy Menard, who put Vilches on the mound of their Championship game, watch our interview with Coach Menard here.

Here is a rundown of Vilches who participated in the Underclass Games on June 30th.

2017 David Vilches, RHP/UTL, Sheridan HS
Vilches is a 5-foot-10 180-pound athlete with a medium frame and a physical build. He works from a High ¾ arm slot with a quick arm with a slight wrap. He has repeatable mechanics and rhythm. He would benefit for staying online and not being rotation. He throws fastballs in the bottom half of the strike zone at 81-84 mph. He competes in the strike zone with a curveball and changeup thrown with near fastball arm speed.
