The Miller School Mavericks are the Week 8 Team of the Week. Although we do not prefer to, or usually have a team more than once for a Team of the Week, it is hard to take away this past week's accomplishments from the Charlottesville area power. Miller School had a four win week, but it was not the quantity of wins that brought them back to this honor, it was the quality of the wins. MSA defeated the then #2 Benedictine Cadets, #6 Cape Henry Dolphins, and #16 St. Anne's Belfield Saints. In their wins over Benedictine and STAB they allowed a total of one run, and in their final game of the week versus Cape they scored six runs in the final two innings to break a 5-5 tie. They are deep at the plate and on the mound and are the current #2 team in the state. Their road back to Shepherd was rough early on with their schedule, but it is all taking shape as we near the VISAA playoffs.

Hankins makes some big pitches in the 4th to get out a jam. FB jumps out of lower 3/4 slot. Competes and mixes.
Miller leads 5-1 heading to the top of the 5th.
