Where Are They Now?: 2013 1B Shane Dressler
December 4, 2018
Following a 2014 freshman season at VCU that was cut short due to injury Dressler transferred to West Chester. The No. 4 ranked prospect in the PA Class of 2013, and a 2013 PBR Super 60 Pro Showcase participant, went on to post record setting numbers over his final three years of eligibility with the Golden Rams.
Dressler hit a combined .354 with 16 home runs and 139 RBI over three seasons in a West Chester uniform while helping to lead the Rams to a 2017 NCAA Division II national championship. The powerful left-handed hitter was twice recognized as an All-American (2nd Team - 2017, 3rd Team - 2018).
The Red Land High School product was a standout at the first ever PBR Top Prospect Games in the fall of 2012.

Scouting Report
2/3/13 Dressler was one of three PA players to participate in the Super 60 Showcase. He displayed a 93 mph bat exit velocity and a power stroke at the plate. The 6-foot-4, 215-pound VCU recruit ran a respectable 7.34 60-yard dash and showed agility defensively around the first base bag.
10/12/12 Dressler is currently ranked No. 4 in the Class of 2013 and looked every bit the part at the event. The 6-foot-4, 215-pound left-handed hitter ran a 7.31 60-yard dash, threw 81mph across the infield and had a very solid 90mph bat exit speed. Dressler showed soft hands and good feet at first base during infield evaluations, but saved his best for his round of batting practice. Dressler used a slightly open stance and a very solid lower half to drive baseballs to all fields. Dressler put an exclamation point on his round when he hit a ball off the foul pole in right field. The ball hit roughly 3/4 of the way up the pole and caromed back into shallow right field.
4/5/12 Shane has the size, 6-foot-4, 215-pounds to be a power hitter. The VCU commit is rated as one of the top 20 first baseman in the country in his class.
