For the second week straight, Liberty Christian Academy holds the No. 1 spot in the Power 25 Rankings, presented by Prep Baseball Report VA/DC.
The Bulldogs will be joined in the top 10 by a new team this week— Millbrook (3-0). The Pioneers moved up two spots to No. 9 after a win over Broadway (9-0). Other risers of note include Great Bridge, Deep Run, and Paul VI.
Jamestown, meanwhile, dropped from No. 8 to No. 21 after going 0-1 last week with a loss to Smithfield (8-5). Douglas Freeman dropped from No. 10 to No. 14 after going 2-1, with a loss to newcomer No. 19 Deep Run (3-1). George C. Marshall, No. 24, dropped from No. 15 after losing games to No. 6 James Madison (4-2) and Paul VI (1-0). Three schools fell out of the Power 25 this week. (No. 20 C.D. Hylton, No. 22 Collegiate, and No. 25 St. Anne’s-Belfield)
Great Bridge enters the rankings for the first time at No. 18 this season after going 2-0 this week with wins over No. 16 Nansemond River (2-0) and King's Fork (6-1). Deep Run enters the rankings at No. 19 after going 2-1 this week with wins over No. 24 Lee-Davis (12-0) and No. 10 Douglas Freeman (3-1). Paul VI re-enters the rankings this week after going 5-0 with a good win against No. 15 George C. Marshall (1-0).
