Who hits the ball the hardest? A higher exit velocity correlates very closely to on field performance at all levels of the game. Likewise, players with higher peak exit velocities are typically the ones with higher grades for raw power.

HARD HIT PERCENTAGE

Who hits the ball hard and often? When a player hits a ball with an Exit Velocity of 90 mph or more, the batter is credited with a Hard Hit. This tracks what percentage of batted balls eclipsed that threshold.
