Class of 2022 Player Rankings (September)
This was the summer of the 2022 prospects as the Future Games were regionalized to Pennsylvania, amid the Covid-19 pandemic. The class is chalk full of talent and we got to see first had a ton of guys put on a show at our events. The future is bright in New England for the Class of 2022.
That being said, we have had the pleasure of seeing a number of solid players this past year. Prospects are popping up left and right, making velocity jumps, improving 60-yard dash times and showing more power with the bat.
Covering six states, New England is a prime area for legit baseball talent and now we would like to bring to you the updated 2022 Player Rankings.
WHO’S AT THE TOP?
- Matt Scott (Video) is a power arm right-hander headed to Stanford. He sits in the #1 spot in the 2022 class.
- Joe Allen is a 6-4, 180-pound right-hander who is headed to Michigan. He displays a thick durable frame.
- Evan Blanco, quick armed left-hander headed to Virginia. He continues to improve his craft each summer.
- Ben Brutti, lanky young right-hander headed to URI. The arm is quick and long.
- Matthew Grabmann is a durable right-hander headed to Oregon as he rounds out our top 5 in New England.
NEWCOMERS
- Nic Frink (Video) is a physical right-handed hitting catcher with an advanced skill set. The bat has plus life and the catch and throw tool is very good.
- Davis Hanson is a right-handed hitting corner infielder with a ton of upside. He can swing the bat.
- Cameron Dayton, right-handed hitting outfielder who runs and shows plus life with the bat.
- Ryan Juliano, utility player headed to Connecticut. There isn’t much he can’t do on the field.
- Robbie O’Connor is a big lanky right-hander with a huge upside.
RISERS
- Kyle Lavigne (Video) is a physical right-handed hitting catcher. He shows a plus feel for the game.
- Liam Doyle is a left-hander with a ton of potential. The arm is quick and clean.
- Marc Willi is a big left-handed hitting first baseman who is headed to Michigan. He swung the bat great this summer.
- Drew Kron, a superb athlete headed to Connecticut. He can really play the game.
- Ryan Daniels is a left-handed hitting infielder with plus hand speed at the plate. Ryan is headed to Connecticut.
- Justin Hackett, a left-side infielder, shows a quick powerful swing from the right-side, plenty of arm to stick on left-side.
- Alex Marot, a right-handed hitting 3rd baseman, power potential, electric arm across the diamond.
SLEEPERS
- Jack Toomey is a physical right-handed hitting outfielder. Showed tremendous athleticism and potential.
- Thomas Galusha, right-hander with his best days in front of him. He spins the ball very well.
- Daniel Cascio, lanky left-handed hitter with plus buggy whip in the bat
- Andrew Merrill, right-handed hitting catcher from Maine. He shows good potential behind the plate.
- Liam McIlroy, athletic middle infielder who can really swing the bat.
- Connor Johnston, a big bodied right-handed pitcher, has the chance to pitch with velocity at some point.
- Hayden Miller, a right-handed hitting middle infielder, can play all three spots, played extremely well at the futures, multiple extra base hits.
- Michael Poncicni, a legit two-way player, came out this summer, mid to upper 80’s fastball.
