Unsigned Seniors: Right-Handed Hitters

We have worked through signing class after signing class. Checking out who landed and where, and how each college program in the state filled their rosters for the fall of 2018. This week we move onto the top uncommitted players in the 2018 Class. Today we focus on right-handed hitters. 



Scouting Report

Jimerson is a 6-foot, 175-pound infielder/outfielder with an athletic frame and build. He has an advanced feel to hit. He starts from a tall stance with a short left-lift and a small hand load. He uses a short swing with a line drive plane. He shows the ability to hit the baseball to all fields and shows raw power to the pull side. He runs a 6.75 in the 60. Defensively he is a sound athlete which plays with fluid footwork. He shows some stiffness to his actions on the infield. He has advanced arm strength throwing the baseball 87 mph across the infield and 88 mph from the outfield with accuracy. Overall Jimerson is an advanced athlete with a feel to hit. 







Scouting Report

Sainsbury is a 6-foot 190-pound infielder with a large frame and physical build. Defensively he works through the baseball with normal actions, and exchange. He throws the baseball accurately across the infield at 80 mph. Offensively he starts from a tall stance with a simple load stride combination. He attacks the baseball with a line drive swing, showing the ability to make loud contact to the pull side. Overall Sainsbury is a solid athlete with an advanced ability to hit, that can play multiple positions







Scouting Report

Alaniz is a 5-foot-7 160-pound athlete with an athletic build and frame. Alaniz is a valuable player due to his versatility, he is solid on the infield and sound behind the plate. He could compete at either position at the next level. Offensively he uses a compact swing swing that produces consistent line drives to all fields. Overall Alaniz is an advanced athlete with a feel to play multiple positions.






Scouting Report

Day is a 5-foot-11 185-pound catcher with an athletic frame and physical build. Offensively he attacks the baseball with an uphill swing and fast bat speed. He starts from an athletic stance, he uses a high leg kick and loads the hands back, for his load stride combination. Defensively he is sound with a wide stance, he maintains proper glove angles and blocks with consistent effort and technique. He throws pop times between 2.07-2.17 acculturately on the bag. Overall Day, is a sound player that has shown pull power at times.
