Unsigned Seniors: Left-Handed Hitters

We have worked through signing class after signing class. Checking out who landed and where, and how each college program in the state filled their rosters for the fall of 2018. This week we move onto the top uncommitted players in the 2018 Class. Today we focus on left-handed hitters.

 


Scouting Report

Jackson is a 6-foot 190-pound athlete with a large frame and an athletic build. He is an advanced offensive player with ability to hit for power to both fields. He starts from an athletic stance with a fluid load, he attacks the baseball with fast bat speed. He has slight uphill bat path. He does a sound job maintaining rhythm and balance through out his swing. Defensively he shows good instincts on balls in the air. He plays through the baseball with a fluid exchange and a strong arm with carry. As a pitcher Jackson pounds the strike zone with a fastball 79-82 mph. He compliments the fastball with a 1/7 curveball with sharp late break. Overall Jackson is an advanced hitter with above average athletic ability.







Scouting Report

Gavazzi is a 5-foot-9 150-pound outfielder with a medium frame and a thin build. He is an above average runner that runs a 6.71 in the 60. Defensively he shows good instincts with the ability run balls down in either gap from centerfield. He plays through the baseball and throws the ball 79 mph from the outfield. Offensively he starts from a tall stance with a minimum load. He drops his hands and pushes the bat through the zone on a line drive swing plane with average bat speed. He produced exit velocities up to 75 mph. Overall Gavazzi is a solid defender with good athleticism.







Scouting Report

Reddick is a 5-foot-10 170-pound outfielder with an athletic frame and physical build. He runs a 6.93 in the 60. He shows advanced arm strength from the outfield throwing the baseball 88 mph. He plays through the baseball with fluid foot work and shows solid instincts on balls off the bat. Offensively he starts with an open stance and dives back into the plate. He attacks the baseball with normal bat speed and an uphill swing. Overall Reddick is a good athlete with a rawness to his game, as he continues to play his athleticism should allow him to continue to improve.







Scouting Report

Bramlett is a 6-foot-1 185-pound outfielder with an athletic frame and build. Bramlett stands out with speed running a 6.56 in the 60. Defensively he works the baseball with fluid footwork, he uses a normal exchange and short arm action. He throws the baseball 74 mph accurately from the outfield. Offensively he uses a line drive swing from a low hands slot. He has solid bat speed. He uses a simple load stride combination, but only uses half of his lower half. Overall Bramlett is an advanced athlete with raw tools, he has a high ceiling as he continues to develop.
