Unsigned Senior Spotlight: RHP Jacob Arndt

On Sept. 23, our staff hosted Senior Games at Kapco Park in Mequon, Wis., an invite-only showcase for the area’s top uncommitted seniors. We’ve already published the event’s Statistical Analysis, and we’ll have position-by-position breakdowns a little further down the road. Until then, check out some of the showcase’s top unsigned prospects who merit mentioning over the next couple of weeks within this spotlight.

Last weekend, RHP Jacob Arndt (Oconomowoc, 2019) attended Senior Games in Mequon and put together an impressive two innings of work where he struck out a couple and did not allow a hit. What stands out about Arndt is his size and frame. The 6-foot-2 lanky righty keeps it clean, loose, and easy on the mound and it produces fastballs that sit in the mid 80s but ran it up to 87 mph a couple times in Mequon. He’s still finding the feel for his offspeed – a curveball and changeup – but his projectability alone should make him a serious target this late in the recruiting game.
