Unsigned Senior Night Spotlight: 2021 MIF Sean Collins (West Chester Henderson)

Physical: Solid and athletic 5-foot-9, 185-pound frame with a compact build. 7.44 runner in the 60-yard dash. 

Offensively: RHH. Bent, slightly open stance as the barrel points over the backside in the setup. Utilized a leg-hang stride to initiate a whippy and efficient, flat barrel path into the hitting zone with lift after contact. Was able to get through the low pitch sinking into a powerful and adjustable lower half. The hands matched plane early and often allowing for backspin on balls hit to the pull-side gap, high level hitter who showed off top notch bat to ball skills during batting practice as he handled all sides of the plate with relative ease. Was on time with regularity to pitches in any quadrant with an above average 33% line drive rate per Trackman Baseball / recorded a peak bat-exit velocity of 88 mph and displayed a maximum batted ball distance of 290 feet. 

Defensively: The primary middle infielder featured advanced footwork beating the ball to the spot with a medium-low center of gravity and feel for lateral movements. Got downhill through the fielding window with a soft glove hand working off of the left side of his body on the approach, accurate high ¾ arm-slot on throws across the diamond out of a medium arm circle. INF - 79 mph

Pitching: RHP - Compact delivery with a side rocker step, medium leg lift with slight hip coil at the top of the stack, good lower half drive, arm worked through a quick and short, high ¾ slot. FB ranged from 80-82 mph with an upwards of 1919 max spin per Trackman Baseball, mixed in a short breaking 65-67 mph CB with 11/5 shape.
