Batting Practice
Nick Howard infielder from Vilonia High School impressed during batting practice showing the ability to drive balls to all fields. The left-hander showed doubles power driving balls in both gaps consistently throughout his two rounds.
Pitchers
Hays Cox RHP from Fayetteville High School showed the most arm strength pitching 82-84 mph working up to 86 mph. Cox also showed feel for a change up with arm side thrown 74-76 mph with near fastball arm speed. His curveball was thrown 70 mph with gradual 11/5 break.
Dylan Billingsley from Cabot High School showed the ability to record outs efficiently pounding the strike zone, recording 6 outs in order. His fastball worked 81-83 mph, and flashed up to 85 mph. He showed advanced feel for fastball location, locating on both sides of the plate consistently. He threw a curveball 69-71 mph with late 11/5 break.
In Game Notes
INF- Andrew Howard squared balls up consistently hitting a single early in the game, in his second at bat he had a loud out to the right-center gap.
OF McCall Dail hit an RBI triple to deep to left center gap. He later scored on a passed ball.
Blake McCutchen made a couple of advanced defensive plays, showing soft hands and fluid actions, on a short hop and a smooth exchange on a double play.
