Prep Baseball Report

Uncommitted Spotlight: RHP David White

Phil Kerber
Georgia Scouting Director

Our goal at Prep Baseball Report is to promote high school players, and give them the exposure they need to be able to play at the next level. With the 2020 high school season in limbo, we want to continue to be able to promote players, even when baseball is not being played. Starting today, we will be spotlighting several uncommitted prospects to help them get the exposure they need to play at the next level.

One of the top uncommitted arms in the 2021 class, RHP David White (The Heritage School) takes center stage in our spotlight. We were unable to get out to see White this spring due to the season being cancelled, however President Sean Duncan got a good look at the 6-foot-1, 195-pound right-hander during the National Program Invitational. White was an influential member of the Georgia Bombers pitching staff on their run to claiming to the title at the 16U level. White worked his fastball up to 91 mph, sitting 87-89. He also showed feel for a fading changeup at 77-79 and a slider that had erratic shape, but has the makings of a swing and miss type pitch at 76-79. White is also a standout OLB for the Heritage School football team. There is more velocity in the tank for White as he pitches with ease and continues to add strength to his highly athletic frame.
