Uncommitted Spotlight: Jayden Gegg

Our second uncommitted senior spotlight of the day is Valle Catholic 3B Jayden Gegg, the 151st ranked prospect in the state’s 2021 class.
Gegg is a strong, compact 5-foot-9, 178-pound athlete with noticeable athleticism to pair. He attended our MO Fall Upperclass Games event this past September and our State Director, Kevin Moulder, ranked him as one of the top prospects in attendance.
Metrically speaking, Gegg checks a ton of boxes right off the bat. He ran a 6.89 in the 60-yard dash and that athleticism plays up in the field, allowing him to cover ground laterally on the dirt. Gegg also took one of the louder rounds of batting practice we saw from that event, posting an average exit speed of 88.84 mph and a max exit speed of 97.08 mph, both of which were near the top for the entire event. His Blast Motion numbers, in terms of average bat/hand speed and rotational acceleration, were also towards the top of the event leaderboard for their respective categories.
