Uncommitted Spotlight: Bryce Broyles

Our second uncommitted senior spotlight of the day is Christian Brothers College OF Bryce Broyles, a left-handed hitting athlete ranked No. 83 overall in Missouri’s 2021 class.

The 6-foot-1, 195-pound tooled up Broyles stood out at the MOKAN Top Prospect Games in June, kicking the event off by running a 6.79 60-yard dash. He showed that athleticism at the plate as well, taking a noticeably loud round of batting practice with impressive TrackMan metrics to pair. Broyles’ hardest hit ball came at 97.02 mph and traveled 372 feet, with his average exit speed coming in at 87.69 mph - the fifth highest number of the event.

Bryce Broyles: OF/SS, (2021) Christian Brothers College, MO. 6-foot-1, 190-pound solid frame. During batting practice, Broyles displayed an exit velocity of 95 mph, showing his strength and power ability. Begins in a balanced stance with a tight load, then uses a controlled stride just before his swing. Has upward swing plane, explosive bat speed and high finish. He created loud contact and found multiple barrels. Gap to gap approach. The athletic recruit showcased his speed with a sub-seven 60 time of 6.79.

 

2/08/20

 

A physically impressive 6-foot-1, 190-pound athletic frame with strength throughout. Offensively, the left-handed hitter bats from an upright and open set-up with some rhythm in his hands. Uses a smooth load, slight arm-bar, and moderate stride before launching his hands on a flat path with some leverage through extension. In BP, Broyles barreled almost every ball on a line to the middle of the field with some pop, 84 mph exit velo off the tee. Broyles also burned through one of the fastest 60s of the event, posting a 6.77.

 

 

2/10-18 - Broyles is an athletically built 6-foot 175-pound left-handed hitting outfielder in Missouri’s 2021 class.  He ran a 7.18 60 and has an 86 mph exit velocity. At the plate, starts slightly open, smooth load with slight rotation and hands walking away from inline stride, consistent hard middle to pull side contact.  In the outfield, throws right, high three quarters arm slot, clean transfer, 72 mph positional velocity, take route behind the ball.
